Just so you know, The Sun is a truly shitty horrible, lying rag of a paper - if you're not from the UK, you wouldn't know of course, so no criticism, just FYI 🙂
Oh wow - I thought it was a cool pic through a hole maybe 2 feet tall. Then I saw the person! Absolute /peopleforscale moment. Always liked that subreddit, not sure if there's a Lemmy equivalent.
Edinburgh, Scotland - we had quite a lot of T/Ters (or guisers, as it's often better known here, among older generations anyway). Maybe 10-15 groups. A lot of families round our way and we usually have a fairly busy night, so no change from normal :-)
To be honest, after some initial difficulty in grasping the concept of federation (which I certainly don't claim to fully understand even now) this place feels just as easy to use as Reddit.
I think that's partly because I almost exclusively used Reddit via the Sync app, and I now use Lemmy almost exclusively through Sync as well. The experience is basically the same, except that it's a bit quieter, but as someone else alluded to, that's maybe no bad thing as it means I spend less time here. Instead I just dip in and out, and that's fine.
Can't remember if it's in the movie too, but in the book, the speed starts to make him paranoid that he's doing too well and might get the job 😁
