  • I think the writers and directors had some ideas that were bad from the start, which is a bit of a shame, because they did have some good ideas. Addressing the ethics of other force users and taking kids could have been interesting, but they really fumbled it.

  • A large part of wine tasting is bullshit, but different styles are definitely different.

  • The community name is asperational, maybe someday it will be reality.

  • It's not terribly surprising depending on how you present it. Lots of hate groups have public opinions that are at least somewhat popular among the masses. It's really hard to recruit if you can't establish some common ground. You don't lead with showing new people the baby killing tree.

  • Haven't played HFW yet so I can't really compare, it is on my wishlist though. That said I didn't find GoW to be that great. It's a significant departure from the style of earlier games. It feels more like a different game that was reskinned to be GoW. If you haven't played the originals maybe that isn't a factor.

  • The vast majority of star wars YouTubers are spineless fanboys that do whatever Disney wants them to. If you can't make the people that lose their mind at the sight of Anakin happy, you failed miserably.

  • It's likely partially due to expense of the drug, but it did hurt alcohol and junk food sales.

  • Right, women can only exist in exclusive environments.

  • It's not public if you block participation.

  • Cars that run on old oil are basically just diesel engines. It's also pretty easy to get a vehicle with high fuel efficiency, it's really hard to get one that also meets emission standards and doesn't kill you in a crash.

  • Reddit or Lemmy isn't a great to lace for private communities. If you want to be restrictive of who can participate go to a service that supports it like discord. If you want people to join your X only thing that is a you problem, it's not on everyone else to help you with it.

  • X only communities shouldn't be publicly viewable.

  • GLP-1s like ozempic also reduce drinking, which is likely a bigger problem for liquor companies.

  • They may very well be thinking "steam says this works for everything I own" though, the OS likely isn't relevant if it still has a browser.

  • It's pc first, so that makes sense.

  • Supernatural eventually just made it a running gag that things changed when they felt like it.

  • Harris was the least popular candidate in 2020, she likely would have lost in 2020, which would have probably been better as trump would already be gone.

  • The steam deck is likely the target machine at that price.

  • I think the goal is providing an alternate path for people migrating from windows 10 as much as it is a living room pc.
