  • Trump has always been a land-owner, he has always relished the thrill of kicking the poors out in favor of maximizing rent profits. The fact that this hits veterans hard is a BONUS to him - they were stupid and weak for choosing the "publicly funded military boondoggle special program" that is a "drain on our budget" and we need to "cut the fat" that is weighing us down. (you saw the tiny hands making gestures as he said that).

  • If you're in your 20's experiencing this you should, frankly, check in to an ER. Old guys like me have some similar issues but not as bad as you are describing. Get some help, son.

  • Agree. I have updated my Ubiquity router twice in the last month. I've updated HA ... a STUPID number of times in that span. Whoever wrote that is a dunce.

  • I've found that if you want engagement then most communities are fairly quiet. This is not /r so there are fewer around. If you want to engage then find a post that resonates with you and engage with it. Lemmings are conversational but you need to poke them to get something back.

  • My bingo card/wish list - Trump gets tied up in litigation/impeachment (first pres to be impeached 3 or 4 times...bring it!) until he is out of office (I suspect his Outlook is already set that way). Then, after, nobody says his name ever again because...let's face it, everyone is just plain embarrassed that it happened - (R)'s (D)'s, even whack-a-doo (Others ... independent, green, what are those guys that think that everything is transactional...forget).

  • I ditched Netgear due to poor performance and went with Ubiquiti. I'm fortunate that I could afford to buy a console for management but if you're willing to self-host then there is no cost there. You could then get several APs (they have some as low as $99) and you're all set.

  • My best friend at work is a dyed-in-the-wool conservative. He will never not be - and I rush to profess that he is not an asshole...he just thinks conservitave/republican is the side he needs to support probably because that's what daddy did, dunno. We see eye-eye on most other things.

    We do not agree on anything political except that everyone is way too heated up over everything. We are still friends, regardless.

    My point in responding is that his gay daughter disconnected from him after Trump v.1 - would not take a call or interact in any way. This is painful for my friend and he has been confused by it but does not realize why his daughter won't engage. I think she is offended that his political choice doesn't allow for her right to exist and, frankly I agree with her.

    I think my friend has lost his daughter forever because he is a stubborn man. I hope your dad can open his heart to accept you.

  • As my wife pointed out - has Snoop ever said "you want to pay me? No, I'm not interested"...I see nothing wrong with a performer pulling a paycheck. Could he say no and earn nothing, sure - why would he? I, personally, think that having Snoop in the suck-circle might get weed on the radar as something that needs to be normalized.

  • I had a Hue remote laying around from before I started using HA. When I moved everything Hue onto my zigbee dongle from the hub I did the same with the remote. There is a blueprint out there that makes configuring it a breeze.

  • They have an API available so I could siphon off my data if I wanted to but then I would need to build something like it to use said data in. I'm good.
