  • Probably an organization that had copilot shoehorned into. 😂

  • Only slightly! 😂

  • Pains me that the article calls them "old" clocks and not "analog" clocks.

  • Of course!

Imgur was my passive, "only sort of social" social network of choice to find content. Then they were running ads for AfD and well... That was that for me. 😂

  • Imgur is its own platform, has its own app and its own community. Reddit, I believe, may use it for image hosting as well?

  • Because imgur was running ads for AfD

  • In the context of the story arc, Hero Too from My Hero Academia. Not an objectively amazing song, but I like the various tie ins from the performance in the story. Turns out it was sung by Chrissy Costanza of Against the Current. I also like their 2016 album In Our Bones.

  • Epic pays the publisher a flat fee for permission to distribute the game for free for the week.

Your individual download doesn't give Rowling any less or more, but shows support for her IP, and tells epic they made a good decision to support her.

I've heard great things about the game, but for me the download does support Rowling, so it's a hard pass.

  • From a functionality standpoint, I find windows 11 to be adequate. I like how Linux comes with edge and other things pre-uninstalled, and doesn't have AI shoved into every crack or crevice. The final straw for me for windows 11 was finding out that if I wanted to disable AI from notepad, that I'd need to do so manually. I can't be spending all my time in windows figuring out what they've added ai to and figuring out how to purge it out without breaking things.

Been on pop OS almost a year and never looked back.

  • Any idea whether imgur is still allowing advertising from AfD? I ended up migrating away from them because of that and haven't been back.

  • I have been using pop 24.04 with cosmic DE since alpha and it's great. I use it for all desktop needs but also have had no issues gaming with it.

  • I think so, yes. I don't want features that are privacy invasive that will likely be turned on by default when they show up. I'd rather not have the worry that something in the background may be harvesting data to feed to a model somewhere. Were this an extension that needs to be installed independently in order to even be present, would i agree? Sure. As a "now this app has AI built in" feature? Absolutely not. I will keep avidly avoiding software which adds AI, whether it's something I use or not.

  • Dumb question:

Not sure I understand the point of drizzling the oil at the end. Would it not work to gently coat the tofu and then press into the bread crumbs? Wouldn't drizzling at the end leave you with some spots that are oily and some that aren't?

  • I'm using pop os (24.04 cosmic de in alpha state) and it's been my daily driver for about a month now. Generally everything works without fussing. I'm eagerly waiting cosmic beta, but to be honest I'm not sure I'm expecting anything to get "fixed" because everything is already working.

Regarding games, some things need a tiny bit of fussing (open game, unmaxamize and then remaximize screen... Just as an example) and some don't work quite yet, but I've been shocked at how many games "just work" even though they're not made for Linux.

  • Oh thanks for the tip. Trying it today.

  • If you're in need of GPS for android auto, I recommend organic maps as an entirely offline and privacy respecting alternative to Google maps.
