I tried their self driving during their last free trial (6 months ago?), and it felt like the first time I took my kids driving when they had taken a few driving lessons but had very limited experience. I wouldn’t want to be near one of these cars.

I bought my kid a Dell laptop (xps13) for college and 6 months later the battery life dropped from 12 hours to 2 and Dell support said it was normal and refused to do anything about it. That was after the original order which was supposed to take 6 weeks for delivery (bad enough) actually took 14 weeks. It arrived two days before they left for school. Worst experience ever.
The replacement MacBook Air was delivered to their dorm the next day and has been flawless since (over a year now). It actually cost less too.

Sure it can write some crappy code for me, but writing code comes after the hard part, which is identifying the problem and how it could be solved with tech. Novel problems need novel solutions and an LLM can’t generate those.
Why do that when they can just enslave them? They are turning them into forced prison labor with life sentences. They “pay” them $1/day, then charge them $90/day for the costs of imprisonment, ensuring they are trapped in the system forever.
