  • At this point I'm not sure if I should have seen this coming or be surprised that both Disney and Universal are suing against an AI company.

    Based on the AI blowback we're seeing from consumers all the way to individual creators and major corporations; I have to wonder at what point will the AI corporations learn that nonconsensual siphoning of information and data is unsustainable?

    My current prediction is that the majority won't and will get sued to the ground and only a small fraction will learn to partner and collaborate and actually become sustainable.

    After I watched their video Q'AUTO - Features & Tips | SHIMANO and reread this post's linked article I'm a bit less enthused as the app and potential patent seems to indicate that this is proprietary :/

    Edit:I'm pretty hard on my bikes so the chains grind uncomfortably against the cassette, I'll have to replace the cassette, chains, and front shifter cable soon as it's too short to retension😬

  • Gonna be real I've stopped reading from Mangadex almost entirely as most if not all of my feed died on the day the purge happened, which is unsurprising to say the least.

    Just like the majority of manga readers I've migrated🛫

    Mangadex had a good chance to potentially change the translation landscape and lost it.So it's time to move on~ 📦🚚

  • The current supply chain ecosystem (including Trump's tariffs) that's probably driving up the cost makes me sad as I really want to see more Linux phone choices like this come to market as it drives the prices of other similar devices down. :(

    I really want to buy a Linux native phone that's comparable or at least close to Samsung's S8 or Google's Pixel 3.

    In maybe 2 years if there's still nothing decent available I'm probably gonna buy a used phone on Ebay or wherever and just flash pmOS or GrapheneOS. I'd rather spend my time than money at this point.

    For 2k I'd honestly rather buy a Framework 16.

  • Come on man, even an idiot with a thermal imaging camera can tell that reflective and light colored roofs are confirmed to be better than dark colored roofs for keeping people nice and cool during the summer. smh
