IN ADDITION, he also tried to fine Brazil by classifying PIX, the national payment system, as a way for crime to propagate in South America and the US, while the real reason was that he disliked the strength of the BRICS in standing against the usage of Visa and MasterCard's duopoly as well as the global dependence on SWIFT (https://restofworld.org/2025/pix-brazil-us-investigation-digital-payments/).
