  • One of Apple's genius is making their products look premium so that you get a hit of dopamine every year when you buy a new one.

  • Base 1 is "base 0".

    0 is expressed as .

    1 is 0.

2 is 00, and so on.

  • I give you that, however, wat bout lazy writing like tis? Does your TTS have the same level of difficulty? Does it annoy you less because you are more familiar with it? What about people writing without one single punctuation thus messes with the pace of the TTS? What about they inserted a French word in the middle of the sentence and the TTS has its mind deadly set on all English?

  • As long as your emulators on computer run at full speed, the hardware solution in phat PS3 has no advantage. Unless your gameplay depends on some specific hardware behaviour the software can't or doesn't emulate, which never happens for regular gamers.

  • Exactly. Saw a thumbnail of a video on YouTube the other day: "ls -l >(cat)" (something to that effect) accompanied by something like "Insane Bash tricks you never know!" I never clicked on that video. The command looked intrigued, but I don't want to spend ten minutes watching a video to know that.

Edit: It looks like it's the same person.

  • OK, apologies, I'll stop taking weird.

The developer is only supposed to share his code. It's the distro's responsibility to provide binary build of famous programs so that most users don't have to compile. When they don't, it's inevitable that individual users have to build it themselves. This has been the norm for decades.

  • What if the developer of this C program only publishes the source code? Evil?

  • cargo install xyz and apt install xyz aren't mutually exclusive.

  • Then why do you need cargo in the first place, sir? You install a program written i Rust just as if it isn't. When you apt install xzy, you don't even know what language is used to program it.

  • Or Alpine and Gentoo! Do it now!

  • It's fine because it has a compartment for the driver.

  • Banks like to say they are a tech company but in reality they are just a company run by a group of idiotic businesses men who know nothing about technology but require just enough amount of technology to survive.

Does the bank's name start with "ch" by any chance?

  • I used to enjoy your comic until this one. I can stand the disgusting when it's funny. This one's not funny.

  • This talk focuses on that evil little term “UX/UI,”

Well, I know, right? People who say "UX/UI" are ignorant and having no idea what they are taking about. "UX" is a designer's job, while "UI" commonly means "front end programming". It's the same where your aunt asks you to fix her printer because you are a programmer.

  • I paid one year. Speaking of search quality, it finds the stuff most of the time, but the company is also heavily focused on developing AI.
