  • Because it is small enough.

  • After reading that I realised that I have some similar problems. If I turn on the computer with the monitor turned off or if I turn it on too late, it goes to sleep and it won't wake up, I have to restart the computer somehow, usually with reisub.

  • In my town in the summer, there's a spot where just after sunset you can see the flocks of swallows retreating from the fields while flocks of bats arrive from the other side. It is cool to see.

  • Ratpenat in Catalan, winged rat.

  • In my language they are called "ratapinyada" or "ratpenat" from the latin for winged rat.

  • I like to write stuff on banknotes using a typewriter. I don't think they will accomplish anything but I like to think those small hidden messages are going to places.

I specifically target small denominations so I can put more of them in circulation and also because I think they stay in circulation for longer.

I welcome ideas for stuff to write.

  • Yes.

  • I just tried, I don't like it but it works so well that I can learn to like it. I'll look more into those theme options.

    Thanks!

  • Yesterday I tried Kodi. I don't like its interface at all and I couldn't figure out how to manually correct the stuff that it misidentified but it works surprisingly well in that old machine, so I can live with it until I get a better one.

    Thanks.

  • I tried yesterday and I was surprised how well it works performance wise in that old machine.

The interface is awful and doesn't seem to allow me to correct all the stuff that it misidentified but I guess I can live with it once I manage to rename or delete all that stuff.

    Thanks.

  • How cool some origami figures look once finished, specially those that can be folded in less than one hour.

I find amazing how all those shapes can be achieved just by folding.

  • My exact same thought. Just those that persisted over the years.

  • Maybe if it were two different pieces. The glass container inserted into a "base" with all the electronics. I guess the faster pulsing could be achieved with a microphone listening to the bubbling.

  • ManaMana Banana 5?

  • Where?

  • 10.000€

  • I don't know about the insect population in my backyard but I do know that it is a safe haven for wall lizards, they don't even hide anymore when I'm there.

  • Does that really work? I get the impression that people would go pee on that wall just to see it bounce.

  • For stuff I care about I have one copy in a NAS and another copy in an external HDD. For the few things I really care about, additionally, there are copies scattered in most drives I own.

I don't use cloud rentals, to me they feel wrong as backups, maybe as short term backups.
