This would be a good start, though it’s probably too late for meaningful enough change to our system of government.

I mean, elections are right around the corner. The US military will be deployed, but it won’t be for the promotion of democracy.

They’ll get food from Russia as needed.

They haven’t lost their ability to manufacture more missiles and drones and probably won’t. Russia and China will prop them up with food and supplies to fight a proxy war on their behalf. This will be a forever war.

Maybe you should start the lemmy equivalent of /r/kidsarefuckingstupid

This is fine. They’re going to be almost all MAGA.
That’s my take.

I can only imagine Trump’s South Park character: “C’mon guuuuy, trying to incite an insurrection isn’t so bad! Look where it got me!”
From memory, I’d say it’s pretty normal for a 14yo boy to be whacking off all the time.
I would have hoped it would have taken at least 100+ years, but nope.
I have a hard time celebrating anyone’s death (there are a few I’m looking forward too though), but it’s hard to classify Kirk’s as undeserved. Hell, he preemptively justified his own death in that golden quote about “some shooting deaths are necessary in order to uphold the 2nd amendment”.
To be fair there are a lot of very successful college and more than you might imagine high school drop outs. The difference between them and Kirk is that they’re still alive.

It’s just financial success for the most part though, and it’s not like “I’ve built generational wealth” financial success, just I can afford to live in this shithole country somewhat comfortably financial success. The amount of asshattery that one has to put up with to get to that point though tends to pile a ton of stress and extra work and general malcontent onto most people.
Yep. I just took a leap. Worked out fine.
I dunno, the posts don’t look to be too shitty.
“Dancing with your wife of 25 years.”
I don’t go by McDs often because their stuff is almost entirely crap but I did swing through for a 5 or 6pc nugget several months ago and I ended up with like 15. Props to the people leading the micro rebellions.

Votes probably won’t matter in 2028. 2024 was the last chance to at least hold the line.

People like to talk about real estate as the cause of the 2008 financial crisis. You’ll never convince me it wasn’t more deeply rooted in the high gas prices of that time.
The problem I see with shorter terms is more opportunity for a corrupt executive branch to pack the court with corrupt, or at least highly political, justices. With 18 year terms they could be staggered out so one justice every 2 years would reach the end of their term and need to be replaced, limiting that to 2 justices per presidential term.
