  • There’s a high chance Greenland is a part of that. I think one of those billionaires (whichever one founded Praxis) asked Trump to buy Greenland so he can terraform it and set up his country there. There is a source for it somewhere at www.theplotagainstamerica.com

  • My provider (Onet) is a known Polish news outlet so I don’t have such issues at home, but whenever I’m abroad I just spell it out: “oh-en-ee-tee”.

  • Onet, a Polish news website. I used it for my first ever e-mail and since then I have been using it kind of out of habit. Never felt a need to switch to something more robust.

Of course I have a gmail account too, but I use it mostly for things like logins and synchronization rather than for correspondence.

  • I’ve just read it and I recommend everyone to do the same if your country doesn’t have one. Most of the tips aren’t Sweden-specific and it’s generally good info to have.

  • Depends on what’s available where you live. In Poland we have BLIK! I think a few other countries are starting to use it too. The way it works is that in your banking app you get a 6 digit code, and enter it in the terminal. Less convenient than tap-to-pay but writing that made me realize how spoiled I am, lol. It’s really convenient for online purchases though, no need to spend all that time writing card info and no risk of that info getting into the wrong hands.

Some things are harder to replace than others, and no one expects you to change everything anyway. I don’t know why it’s “too absurd”. If anything, our dependence on that makes them all the more important to use/develop alternatives for.

  • I understood it to mean that this bird feels like this particular mammoth isn’t quite as comfortable but he has a lot of other mammoths to choose from, so he is free

  • This game is either “mafia” or “werewolves” in Poland. Really fun to play but it sucks how much real life mirrors it…
