  • I wouldnt dare recommending something that most cant use, simply because they cant buy, beyond that there ethical considerarions, Apple is famous for ecosystem lockin which is extremely unethical

  • apple products are simply too overpriced for most people that don't live in the USA

  • it so solid that you need to fix macOS' bundled outofdate unix utilities to have resemble of a function unix like system simply because Apple is allergic to the GPLv3 for no good reason

  • yes in a vm, specificly Debian GNU/hurd, works suprisingly, main issues is lack of hardware support, for usage as a vm guest, I would say it is already better than half of the BSDs
