What would you think the police or social services could do? They aren't describing any criminal behavior, and they seem to be an adult with capacity, so I think both agencies would respond, take a look at the situation, then do nothing. Then they'd prob suffer retribution from their family
What is your plan for yourself? You're taking online classes, what is your end goal? Can you get a job right now? The reality is that you cannot depend on these people. They may be supporting you now, but that could end at any moment on a whim.
Your plan should be to figure out what independence looks like for you and figure out the fastest way to get there
The gist is it was an elderly person with preexisting conditions who spent a LOT of time in close contact with birds. No one else he was in contact with caught it, so there's no indication at all of human to human transmission

We're talking about Lemmy communities here, having a men's-only space to discuss men's issues is totally fine. Also, demeaning men's-only spaces and placing men in a uniform category as "the oppressor group" is awful for society
Literally nothing is stopping you from creating a community for men with a rule that only men participate. The difference is that in the community you're thinking about though, women wouldn't be constantly trying to mess with it. There are hundreds of communities to choose from. We're not entitled to participate in them all.
