I've considered it, and I listened to some shorter essays. Sadly, it doesn't solve the main issue of not having enough time and energy to engage with deeper texts. I probably will be in a better situation next year, though.
It's your pop science magazine/news. They oversimplify stuff. The researchers didn't make a new chip that do everything a "regular" chip does. It does one single thing extremely well, which is matrix inversion. Is that a huge breakthrough? I'm not in the field, but yes, it seems remarkable, to say the least. But it's likely to take several years until it escapes its lab.
I read so little Theory. I'm crushed by working two full time jobs, one to support my family, another pursuing a master's degree. I feel hopeless at times. Totally burned out. (At least I should finish my degree soon and get some "rest".)
Not necessarily. The military police and these death squads go back to the US coup in '64. They were aligned with Bolsonaro recently, but they are going to align themselves with any right wing government. Bolsonaro is not all that relevant anymore. He's under house arrest for now, and he's gonna be sent to jail soon. He's been convicted already.
My last experience with Mint might've been 10 years ago. The outdated packages so common among Debian-based distros back then made me switch to something else. I don't know what's the current situation, though.
I didn't use to enjoy posting and reading Shit Reactionaries Say. But I'm starting to appreciate the kind of group therapy and sanity check that ends up happening in each thread.
I accepted a job as a teacher in a remote village somewhere in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest. Too much poverty, too many people living (or literally dying) without their basic needs met, and after 2.5 years I was simply too disgusted with our economic and social structures to not be radicalised.
Then I started to read and watch videos about Anarchism, Socialism, and Communism. I joined a union. I talked to some friends about politics, and they guided me into the basics. Eventually I narrowed my interest to Marxism-Leninism.
What? :(
