Not sure I’d call a big enduro sled ‘micromobility’ - and I say that as someone who has two enduro bikes. They are just about the worst possible bikes for urban use - and urban use is about the worst possible use of this bike. The Vala wants to be pointed down the sort of steep lines you couldn’t descend on foot.
Beautiful bike (if overpriced) though.
There’s a difference between defending oneself and engaging in collective punishment and genocide. I am Jewish and the descendent of holocaust survivors. Not in my name.
I LOVE that idea! One of our resident cats is a pain to give meds to so I’ll give it a try!
And yes, Bo is half (or so) Bengal. He came to us completely feral but needed those meds so he didn’t go the TNR route. He’s turned into a super friendly guy who craves getting pets - just took a bit to get there. He’s also basically vocal chords on four legs - sings all day long.
If anyone is interested in adopting, he’s listed with MEOW in Calgary, Canada!
66% of our resident cats are on prescription diets. Total non-issue. I think people just worry about other unanticipated costs.
My partner and I foster a lot of cats. Some of the sweetest cats take forever to get adopted just because they aren’t kittens anymore. One of our fosters has been with us for almost three years now - just because he isn’t a kitten and needs some inexpensive meds sprinkled on his food once a day.
How did I not think of that?
She’s discovered that she can get ‘mom time’ by jumping up on the desk we have in the room because oh man, do they never let her rest otherwise.
Totally agree.
Moderating models for safety is a problematic idea. Prusa then bears liability in the event that a model fails. 3D printing works only because it’s the person who physically makes the print who has the ultimate responsibility to determine if it is safe and fit for purpose.
If you don’t like the competitions, don’t take part. Personally I view them as a nice way to encourage the community to share ideas.

I wanted kids when I was younger, but wasn’t ready to give up my freedom. Once I was ready for kids the world (and the future in particular) looks so bleak that it doesn’t seem fair to the theoretical kiddo to say ‘hey, here’s a dumpster fire - good luck’. Instead I babysit for my friends and family, spoil the kids around me, and sleep in on the weekend. I also have more time for activism and trying to ensure a brighter future for kiddos.
No regrets.
