I saw it due to the IGN article and thinking of getting one for a 5yo. I wouldn’t think about it for someone above 8 though, if they can hold a controller there are very high quality games.
I tried to get into this game but after seeing how deep the mechanics go I gave up. It’s not like Rimworld where you can enjoy the game without grasping all the mechanics, zomboid requires you to invest in it to actually enjoy it, which I’ve lacked the time for.
This is my understanding and I’m surprised with the negative reaction. I think jellyfin is the better alternative being FOSS but this is not the reason.
I’ve never used jellyfin, but do they also host proxy servers? AFAIK plex does and its costing them money, hence the need for paywalling this. You can still use tailscale and reverse proxy to allow remote streaming
