If you do happen to see "Donald Trump" on the list in the future, it's definitely an error.
For the first name, that "D" is actually a "B". And the "o" is supposed to be an "a", but the top part got cut off. The next "n" is actually just two "rr"s printed too close together. The "a" following it is correct, though. That last "ld" is actually a letter-swapped and smudged "ck".
In the last name, the paper was knocked while printing the "T"—it's actually an "Ob". The "u" was cut off half way through printing; it's an "a". And the last "p" was just leftover toner on the paper that got mixed in with the "a".
(For those who don't want to suffer trying to comprehend that, the joke is: it was supposed to say "Barrack Obama", typo and all)
In 1984, when Orwell wrote, "the Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears," he didn't mean the Party should also do that for itself. That would be unbelievably stupid, and yet here we are...
It's almost like Trump asked for a list of the most influential quotes in writings about authoritarianism, then took them all literally and did a half-ass job applying them.
That whole "nobody wants to work" narrative is such horseshit.
It's not that nobody wants to work, it's that nobody can afford to work for bottom-of-the-barrel wages. In a lot of places it's simply not possible to survive on minimum wage, and having a shitty job take away from the time and energy you could be spending looking for a good job isn't worth the money you save.
Outcome-oriented? Not even. They're feelings-oriented. If it doesn't pass the fascist vibe check, they will find an excuse for it not to pass any other check.
Sure, but knowing ICE took your kid doesn't really do much to help get them back.
ICE is now an extrajudicial secret police with even less oversight than the actual police. Even if someone knows ICE kidnapped their relative, nobody in the current administration is going to hold them accountable if they decide to lie and say "no we didn't". It took months to get back Abrego Garcia, and that was with the public eye on the situation and the entire Democratic Party pressuring them. For every one Abrego Garcia, there are thousands of people who are still unjustly locked up in a concentration camp.
type UnmarshalStruct struct {
Foo string
}
type MarshalStruct struct {
UnmarshalStruct
FieldYouDontWantUnmarshaled string
}
When marshaling, you would marshal MarshalStruct. Because UnmarshalStruct is embedded, json.Marshal automatically includes all the fields from UnmarshalStruct.
When unmarshaling, you would unmarshal UnmarshalStruct and then create a new MarshalStruct like this:
var unmarshaled UnmarshalStruct
err := json.Unmarshal(&unmarshaled)
if err != nil {
panic(err)
}
return MarshalStruct {
UnmarshalStruct: unmarshaled
}
Although, if I may ask: why do you not want a field to be unmarshaled? You could always just set it back to the zero value after unmarshaling, which is a lot easier of a solution.
At least in the US, it's full of regulatory red tape that was designed to pull up the ladder behind the current large payment processors.
Even Musk and his ample bribe money, under the most corrupt administration in decades, hasn't managed to get full approval for his "X Twitter Money" payment service.
Protesting against christofascists in the government isn't mutually exclusive with protesting a christofascist censorship organization. You can protest two things at once, you know.
I think we all know the answer to this.
