  • There are dozens of us! DOZENS!

  • No country alone beat them. The Soviets did more than the others but it wasn't them alone

  • While I love traditional forum structure, I don't think it would be great to transition later from one structure to another completely different. In my mind, the only thing that needs a bit of tuning is the "Hot" algorithm of the front page

  • It depends also what you consider AOSP. There isn't really an AOSP anymore, the default AOSP apps have been left to die from Google since forever, in favour of its own apps. All ROMs are just different flavours with different default apps for the needed phone functions

  • Paywalling a better resolution than the ones ALREADY present on the platform, may be the best way to approach the issue of it being fucking expensive to serve it.

Youtube has gone to shit and the enhanced 1080p bitrate is not one of the reasons

  • Notebookcheck is one of the best review sites, with extreme attention to detailed testing. I have e been following them for many years, over a decade for sure

  • Along with the premium version, they have a crypto currency (TON) that can be used to buy things on the platform from other users, and I think you can also buy things with real money and they keep a small commission. Also there are some small ads in very large channels (not groups, channels only) and ways to gift "stars" to other people, like Patreon or sth

  • The encryption is not Trust me bro. It is public and tested multiple times. For example an analysis back in 2021:

    https://mtpsym.github.io/

It found somes issues in the implementation of MTProto 2.0 from the official apps, with only one of them being actually usable as an attack vector, and they were all fixed before the disclosure of the analysis. They found no issues with the encryption algorithm other than some choices that may make the implementation of it harder

  • I doubt that Russia will get much usable land, at least for quite a while. The melted permafrost leaves behind muddy landscapes that results in the destruction of the floral and the animals that eat those plants, and also results in more droughts

  • Shouting about antisemitism every single time someone criticizes the GOVERNMENT of Israel surely will stop working sometime?

  • I also use Zerotier for such cases. Not sure if you can somehow limit the ports they see, but works great in general

  • It's both. It is really more expensive for me as a Greek to live alone than for a German adult in my age, surely. But our family bonds are also stronger in the Balkans/South Europe than in most of the rest of Europe and it is not weird to stay with your parents until after Uni/1st good job. And sometimes even later.

  • I don't know if the data are taken based on your address or based on polling. But I never change my address to my rental because it's a hassle to do it every couple of years

  • Not great, but "it's working" at least

  • No wet food at all. I have wasted 100s of euros on wet food that he MAY lick a little bit before leaving it alone.... No idea why he hates it so much

  • Athens is just 200€ lower than Vienna. Athens has about 35-40% of the average salary that Vienna has. About 85% of the wage vs less than 40%. And Vienna usually includes utility bills...

  • Except for that the Redmi N7 has a smaller and older battery, and that that stock "has to go" so they are not going to charge much anyways. Plus you probably get an OEM battery and not the original, which may mean worse capacity/quality or just cheaper in general because "it's not original"
