My Thinkpad touchscreen works great on Plasma with multitouch support. Multitouch should be enabled by default, try doing a pinch to zoom in Firefox or a three finger up or down gesture to show the desktop overview

I agree.
I switched to unstable because I wanted the latest kernel and latest Plasma, my experience has been mostly positive but there are weird issues like not being able to install ffmpeg due to some dependency conflict. I can compile ffmpeg from source and install just fine tho
Because kernel 7.0 just released a few days ago so this is technically correct
