should be a much bigger problem than watching a random movie at some random that was probably planned weeks in advance.
But I guess they need something news-worthy to pin it on.
I remember using Monica years back for something similar. Quickly lost the habits of using it since it was a lot of work updating and it didn't feel like it was worth the effort.
People here give some good advices for privacy focused individuals, but that is not the answer to the question being asked. Those people need stuff that just works and protects them - perhaps at the expense of maximum privacy, but who cares? They don't (unless the know what they are doing in which case they don't need the advice).
Please explain how any society can work with an overweight of elderly? Watch Kurzgesagt's video about South Korea. They are looking into a society where every other person is above 65.
