I don't see how this doesn't lead to the removal of the HBO brand from the marketplace, and the transfer of all IP, to Netflix's algorithm driven slop machine.
Both were shitty options, this is all speculation, but something tells me that at least HBO would have survived a Comcast or Paramount acquisition, and not been converted into whatever the hell you want to call Netflix's category of entertainment.
I only hope is that this is killed by regulators, and somehow Paramount and Comcast aren't able to put together new bids.
Started off fine for roughly a dozen words, then you jump right into Bill Gates.
Bill Gates who was great friends with Jeffrey Epstein, a monopolist, and most recently, worked tirelessly to prevent the sharing of the covid vaccine technology, during the pandemic, because it would harm the profits of his friends in big pharma.
“‘Someone’ cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second,” Bray posted on Bluesky social media. “We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’”
If there was a government stop on his travel, such as being added to a no-fly list, he wouldn't be able to simply rebook his tickets as the article describes.
Since the article does not explicitly say how it happened, you have to read between the lines. None of what they described sounded like government persecution, but it sounds exactly like what happens when you're targeted by 4chan for harassment.
Again, he was immediately rebooked by the airlines, and not taken away by DHS or TSA.
The article also makes it sound like the airline is in a bit of CYA mode, because at minimum they were the targets of a extremely high profile case of social engineering.
IMO it was really poor decision to make a public announcement about his intents to leave the country, prior to his actually leaving the country, especially since he's traveling with his family.
The person I was responding to was declaring that their choice to use an Android based phone makes them a more ethical consumer, and therefore a better person, then iPhone users.
That's an absurd position, which was what my comment was highlighting.
How about you just don't act high and mighty and pretend that your personal consumer choice of using an Android based OS somehow make you more ethical then those who use an iPhone.
Can you please tell me you're entirely ethical smartphone setup?
Obviously you won't have any Android in there, including Android ROMs which are based off of AOSP, as Google is just as, if not more, evil than Apple, and any project based off Google's OS is inherently unethical.
Are you're using a Fair Phone? If not, what ethical phone are you using?
Are you suggesting that the same military that voted overwhelmingly for Trump, might be incredibly inconvenienced the proclamations of the morons he appointed?
I went to their about us page expecting to see at least one Vietnamese American.
Nope, all wealthy white people.
Maybe they are a group of well meaning individuals, I don't know, as I didn't look past that page.
But... If their entire purpose is advocacy for, and about, Vietnam, you would think they would want at least someone from the region on their core leadership team...
He's setting precedent with an exponentially smaller disaster in a red state, as political cover for future denial of relief funds for the much larger Blue State seasonal disasters.
I think it's actually worse.

But, I don't think that's what's going to happen.
