  • I agree that the work isn't too bad if you're the right type of person. We have pretty good rules from OSHA.

TBH though the intergenerational employment and company towns angle makes it seem like all the rules are going to be discarded so I'm a bit concerned

  • Lmfao I actually made a huge frown upon reading that

  • Ouuu. This makes sense to me, well thought

  • This is awesome. Rust wearing full plate armor to dinner is hilarious... Also what's up with Scala? lmao

  • Makes sense. If you're willing to take advantage of others, you can get advantages.

And these days, retaliation against adult bullies is not so straight forward.

  • Dude, he bought a full priced phone and the distributor preinstalled ransomeware on it.

If you think this is acceptable just say it: "Distributors reserve the right to install ransomeware on the devices they sell."

    Just say that.

  • I just thought of a new business: Baby Debt.

We trick children into signing contract so we can legally control them financially for life.

    Baby Debt: It's Not Illegal

  • He presented his logic and included well-recognised definitions and sources. He literally could not have done better without a peer review in the field 🤣🤣

    So: shut up bitch

  • Hmm I see what you mean I think, thabks for the reply

  • The government doesn't want me seeing this

  • How about this... We split the difference and go out for some pescaito frito. 🔪🐟🍴

  • Bruh. I'd consider running a genocide to be a special case...

  • Meh, that already comes with infinite problems, so what's one more?

  • Same here. When I got my first smartphone in highschool, I quickly became massively addicted. I would guess that at least half my time was spent on reddit and 4chan for many, many years.

Though I don't blame my parents... How could they have known?

  • I don't say this to be flippant, but rather because some people need to understand that there are real problems in this world, and this sort of situation is what can easily result from ignoring those problems for superficial reasons such as you don't like the person who speaks about them, or the specific choice of words they use.

So lay off on laying me off for laying off.

  • This seems weird. They say they let you stream with Tidal and Qobuz, is that why it's a monthly fee? I don't really get how the pricing model fits the Roon software features.

  • For sure. And increasingly so. I used to think chromebooks were silly but after this experience I totally see their value: 0->WWW as fast as possible is what people want

  • Yeah. My intro programming classes used C and C++ and they were great for illustrating the fundamentals. Plus I think it's important to learn the building-blocks/history

  • I've been rolling out linux mint to some older family members. Firefox gave them troubles (they couldn't identify the logo), but switching in chrome did the trick. I'm now convinced that the most common OS use-case is a browser launcher.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

Lemmy has so few comments that I am now reading many more articles
