  • How about Revolt? It's open source and it's pretty much a Discord clone.

  • Syncthing is nice, but Localsend has a more user-friendly interface.

  • I've never used Fossify SMS, so I can't really comment on it, but I've been using QKSMS as my default messenger for a few years now and I quite like it. The feature that keeps me on QKSMS is exporting and importing text messages. It's a godsend when you're changing phones.

  • There are a number of thing stopping me from yogacoding, most have already been mentioned. Also, I'm pretty sure the lady in the picture is doing jack shit on her laptop, unless she has a screen mounted on her crotch.

  • Piracy, actually, but yes. That tweet was such a dumpster fire. All it accomplished was it showed how grossly misinformed Linus was about this topic. How ad blocking equals copyright infringement is beyond me.

  • Try to understand, not everyone likes windows. They require quite a bit of maintenance, are usually insecure and speaking personally, some setups just don't look good. It's why some people opt for skylights instead.

  • Second panel could also be "Was I a link aggregator?" Because it's hardly that anymore.

  • It's not chat apps that are making things worse, it's the various companies and organizations using these apps for support channels instead of easily searchable software like forums.
