It all depends on the details, and then subsequent reaction. But having a conversation about mutilation or ways to do so, can have plenty of non-nefarious explanations. From “I’m writing fiction”, “settle an argument amongst friends”, to the one that should be more than enough: I was just fucking curious.

I just realised why I find AI enthusiasts so repulsive. I was already aware of how rude it is for someone to share the output from an LLM. Someone sharing an opinion they formed based on such an interaction, I realised is as repugnant, if not more.

It seems so weird to suggest that we (humanity) must do the thing that will destroy humanity. Not sure what you’re asking. Blind people can make use of them in the sense that they can have them translate visuals to audio cues. For example to read a sign, label, book, etc.

Wealth tax should be progressive. It is dangerous to let so much accumulate.

Even something ridiculously “extreme”, such as 99% wealth tax over a trillion, every year. 90% over a billion, every year. 5% over 10 million, every year. 0. 1% over a million. Would make perfect sense to me. There would be zero change to their quality of life. They just wouldn’t be able to buy influence at scale that can subvert democracy. And that tax would be more than sufficient to lift everyone out of poverty, or effect so many positive changes in the world.
