Interesting question that idk. It’s a harsh truth that even I struggle with at the lowest level of some people are just mean. Sometimes there’s a comment here on lemmy that is so mean for no reason that it sticks with me. Idk how to explain that to a child
Prior to this Spring I would say America because I can speak and act more freely, but after thinking that’s not true in any place in America including public, academia, protesting, social media, etc I will say little in America is better than China.
China has awesome food, transportation, every level of city is walkable, a health centric culture, strong family values and not in a nut job way, diverse religion, lots of languages, many different cultures, low interest rates, affordable education, awesome tech, a government that works hard to build public infrastructure, parks, medical care, and parks.
The biggest two things I dislike about China are the pollution increase in the past 20 years and racism against non-Han peoples. The latter is a problem in America too but I feel sometimes more so in China. Frequently if there’s an issue between a Han person and non Han ethnicity of the non Han is instantly brought up. The pollution one is just sad. Most bodies of water are dirty when 20 years ago they were used to play and do your clothes in, at least in my families countryside.
That sounds great! Radishes with a little salt are great.
Mint, on the other hand, I have in a pot in the house and will likely stay in that pot for the season (unless I get a bigger pot for it), it likes to wander here and would likely take over my garden.
nice
