I'm trying to selfhost some Lemmy communities just for fun :)

Buddhist, researcher, FOSS, Linux, selfhosting enthusiast, plantbased, anarchism and MLM interested.

Trying to be nice. I really dislike the Reddit style aggressive comments. If you are rude I will block and ban you.

  • Looks default

  • Oldest thing I use frequently may be a 100~ year old ring.

  • That’s the worst when a partner can make you doubt yourself

  • Which

  • average SDF gotya ;)

  • Yum!

  • What have you published dawg

  • lol! thanks for sharing your thoughts

  • I didn’t say online presence. I said server stuff. That for me includes family photos and ancestry

  • anki flash cards worked well for me. Most of the time is used making the cards then can easily learn anything in less than a day by cramming them.

  • That’s so cool!

  • Thanks that’s very helpful! I like how you approach lists. Even breaking them down sometimes feels like too much.

It’s interesting that you make the comparison to addiction. Quitting alcohol and starting a task that feels too big honestly does feel quite similar. Maybe because they’re both linked to dopamine?

I find if I start and get in the zone I can do anything. Also, weird side note I find after I have a drink in the evening I weirdly have a ton of motivation but then am slightly impaired lol

  • Just put in a new couch

  • How do you manage uber large tasks that feel physically hard to even start

  • A lot of words to just say vibe coding

  • How would they if they can’t see it

  • Real talk, since you're into ML, I actually find Deepseek to give 100% better answers than ChatGPT. ChatGPT is super quick but nonsense whereas Deepseek often gives much deeper and funny (in a good way) responses.

I can Deepseek一下 more information if you'd like.

  • Community Promo @lemmy.ca

Hello I would like to share some communities I made on my instance.

  • Fediverse @lemmy.ml

For small instances, does it make sense to first post on my own then cross post to the real target? To decentralize, prevent mod abuse, and spread awareness of other subs.
