  • Yeah, that's what I thought as well, but I figured a confirmation wouldn't hurt because the phrasing seemed unusual.

  • How do you steal something you've purchased? What am I missing?

  • Everyone that disagrees with Vlad and Xi's truth is a lib, says the Georgescu voter xD funny how the truth only seems to come from governments that imprisons people that disagrees with them.

  • You mean the real sources that give quotes from far right populists with 0 elected officials and around 2% support because it can't find anyone else to quote that actually support their claims? Please...

  • They're all cool if you're into the games or whatever they cover, imo. Having books on stuff that you're not familiar with feels weird, imo. Google Books covering your favourite games and stuff and I'm sure you'll find plenty. But if you don't care about that and just want cool gamer stuff to put on the coffee table, The Game Console 2.0: A Photographic History from Atari to Xbox might be one of those. There's a LOTR illustrated edition. There's a tomb raider cookbook and travel guide. World of warcraft also has tons of cool art and a cookbook. There's God of war lore and legends. There's The Art of Video Games from pacman to mass effect, etc. And for more, there's This site.

  • Better call Saul taught me this!

  • That's part of it and it's probably part of the staying power, sure. But I'm pretty sure it exploded before it started doing that. Iirc, quite soon after release, Ninja became one of the most popular streamers on twitch, breaking records and stuff and he even did a stream with Drake which at the time was the biggest stream ever. People were speculating even then that maybe epic paid Drake, but well.. could just as easily have been just Drake being Drake.

As for why it got popular in the first place.. I think it's just being at the right time in the right place. There was Minecraft hunger games, h1z1, PUBG and probably a few other smaller ones. They were all quite popular and then Fortnite came along and made it more accessible and arguably more fun and stuff as well. A few of my friends used to try pretty much all the popular games, especially shooters. And besides CS, Fortnite was definitely the one that kept them engaged the longest. That's just anecdotal, but well.. if it worked on us, it's probably worked on many.

  • Unfortunately it is. People fucking suck. Don't believe me? Go for a walk in a place where litter stands out like a beach or a hiking trail. Or in a supermarket (barely any litter, but items abandoned by shoppers that changed their mind about buying said items)

  • See what I mean? Ad hominems instead of just admitting anything. Keep insisting there's only 6 sentences there, that'll make it true. It definitely helped China some.

  • The looting you can skip with cheats. Technically you can skip a lot of traveling that way as well. But that's a big part of the game, imo. If you don't enjoy spending time in the game, then all you want to do is shoot people? There's better games for that.

  • Nah, I'm willing to bet HL3 will come out (at the latest) 5 years after Gaben's death. Not because he's witholding it, obviously, but because whoever comes next will probably try to make as much money as possible and that's an easy first way to do it.

  • One's assassin's Creed/horizon zero dawn/god of war, etc. The other is path of exile, diablo, torchlight, grim dawn etc.

  • I imagine that would've been horrible for most people involved. But at the same time.. yeah, metal as fuck.

  • Why sully? If I were losing control of my body I'd do the same. There's no shame in that. Like.. a common way to die with parkinson's is aspiration pneumonia. That doesn't sound at all like fun.

  • Yeah, heard similar stories from family members. Has to be something to it.

  • Doubt it. But maybe he just took a bunch of sleeping pills or something. Dunno how any of this works or if the police would be forced to investigate or whatever. Maybe it's just one of those stories where you know you're dying but you're hanging on to finish something and once that's done you let go and die finally. Could be that as well.. or it's all just a coincidence, why not. But my version seems more Ozzy.
