  • The 2012 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the European Union (EU) (founded in 1958) "for over six decades [having] contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe" by a unanimous decision of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

    That is a bigger joke.

  • Why not make it a Gatcha game too? You use points and you have a chance to win a good game with every use.

  • They should use prices of $200, 250, and 300 instead of the $70, 110, and 130 AAA reskinned games. That would work. /s

  • If they release Half Life 3 day 1 of Steam Machine launch, Linux gonna get so much attention, probably biggest bang of the decade.

  • The general idea is that whoever left behind in AI tech will vanish or lose power the next decade. Like Yahoo and other companies during the 2010+. So Google, Meta, Amazon and Microsoft compete now and they don't care about users. Their focus is enterprise market and the future domination.

    Shareholders of Microsoft push AI.

    Competitor Shareholders push AI.

    Shareholders of hardware push AI.

    Enterprise pushes AI.

  • Since the Steam Machine is more like an entry PC and not a console (and will be priced as that), does that mean that SteamOS for desktop will be officially supported?

  • Mental health room, more like Emotional Damage room.

  • WoW was a magically place. I played with a random dude for 1-2 months leveling up my 1st char, and when we tried the new voice chat i figure out he was a 38 years old man with a deep bass voice (i was 18).

Some time after in a dungeon run with random people, in voice chat popped a kid with a voice so soft... i thought that was a girl, but no he was a 13 year old boy. I was like what is happening in this game?

  • Checking if the video was posted at 1st April. Nope. I would save it and send it to whoever tells me that i overanalyse things.

  • Well i try to install FAF on Linux. I set a container for fedora 41 and installed the prerequisites with the terminal from the container. So far all good. But when i run the ./setup.sh (step 4) i get

============================================================ Wineboot ============================================================ wineserver: using server-side synchronization. 002c:fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0) wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135

Script error! The installation has failed. Please report this to the author

Maybe i will check it later with clear mind.

  • Well i am new user. Now I'm learning how to use this distrobox, so i can install something that would be a copy paste from a git-hub page. Maybe this tool is the solution to my problems.

  • Well, maybe i used a wrong phrase. When i said it limits you, i mean you (as a new user) must learn how to use the system. Any solutions you find from others in the internet do not apply to you. For a power user who frequently tinkers things feels like a limitation (it feels more like i am using my android phone rather than a desktop computer).

The distro as I said, it is perfect for a Console (or simple users like my parents), but for users who want more freedom its a bad choice. The mistake was mine as i did not know what the Atomic system is. First time i learned about them was after 2 days of having Bazzite installed 😅

  • I found out after many years, from my younger brother, that GTA: SA had a campaign. I thought that you only put cheat codes, steal cars, destroy stuff and fuck the police. Oh and make your hair, it had the best barbershops.

  • Sam would make an excellent chicken sandwich with this Lembas bread.

  • Yeah, I found out the hard way as a new user. Maybe it would be better to move to Fedora and set up everything myself. Bazzite might be perfect for consoles, but for desktop use it limits you a lot, even for normal usage, not just for software development.

  • The problem is that system settings dont appear somewhere. I changed the setting with the terminal but can't find how to put the user settings to the whole system.

Also the menu is called system settings not user settings. Should be at least more transparent, but the best would be to show the system settings and the user settings.

Edit: i just found the setting, still i find it wrong. At least they could put there the option to make user settings as system settings.

  • The torture video shaking Israel to its core because it leaked not because of the event happening. The leak is perceived as treason by the majority of Israel and they are fine with the tortures..

  • Someone is too young or forgot the 2016 DRAM price fixing by Samsung, Hynix, and Micron, causing prices to skyrocket. Prices doubled or even tripled until 2018.
