what i'm reading is that being joining the military as a trans person is a hack to get medical care. that's universally true; a lot of poor people have considered joining the military for healthcare (and other) benefits.
but queerness is axiomatically incompatible with the US military.
it sux, for ppl who were counting on it, that the option is gone. i'm sympathetic. but, like, fuck the pentagon.
queerness should preclude military service for the hegemonic empire. if the USA were kurdistan, i'd consider a nuanced view. since we live under pax americana (whatever that's worth), no one who is queer should be anywhere near it's military.
Russia? Insane dictatorship with rather infamous harsh policing. You disagree, you die. China? Same. Cuba? Same though arguably the least worst of all, still shit
