  • I signed up for the developer's instance because fuck reddit, and I do dev work.

Server choice had nothing to do with any political shit. I barely knew what federation was at the time. Lemmy immediately proved there are as many bandwagoning idiots as reddit here.

I have nothing to say about world though, I don't use the platform that much.

  • Forget about that part. We got rid of him, he's your problem now.

  • Add some more height to the image and put it on a temple in the clouds.

  • Basically this, they rage quit and go back to windows or even a Chromebook. I try to support customers on linux but they need to be talked away from Arch if they are just grtting started.

Arch forces people to learn what MOST dont want to and MOST people shouldn't need to, just to do basic tasks on a computer.

Switch to Arch later if you're curious and want the training wheels off, or don't if you just want to use your pc as an appliance and walk away.

  • Lol at arch on the mountain. Every fucking noob goes straight for Arch.

  • Remote access is the one pain point. There is very little for RMM or remote software that works on wayland. KDE has that in the works already.

Everybody says Rustdesk but it is a bad joke regardless of wayland.

Personally I host a simplehelp server(paid) and it's really good but wayland support is a no go so far.

Everything else has been categorically better and fixed a lot of issues for me that I used to have on X11 which I've used for like 15 years.

X11+Gnome until gnome 3 then KDE for me because I'm not using a damn tablet (or workspaces).

  • It works well, has little to no vendor lock in, and has reasonable or no licensing costs.

Also drivers can be developed without needing anyones permission or validation like with Windows drivers.

  • The fathers of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos.

Erasing the existence of anyone would have to be done in the past so that shouldnt be an issue.

  • Turmp

    Lol incoming defamation lawsuit here.

  • Is that improvement past the 1.0 release? That update was great but it still needs some work and unfortunately I'm not the right kind of programmer to help either.

  • Orcaslicer hands down.

For 3d modelling software, they all suck or have an unreasonable cost for what they offer. Openscad is something at least.

  • Kinda inevitable when you keep throwing all that crap up there.

  • It was already ruined when they modernized it. Now they are just pissing on it's corpse.

  • Pin media player is the setting name to search for.

Settings -> Sound and vibration -> Media -> Pin media player

Maybe theres a way to fix it but it just sucks ass so I turned it off.

Edit: at least on Pixel 10 with Android 16 Samsung probably smashed it into somewhere else

  • Not just waited, prevented others from taking action.

  • "like Jack" More of that quality, not literally that character.

  • I hope its a direct response to Borderlands 3, the story and main characters in 3 were fucking awful. Removing the cuscenes from the game straight up made it better. The gameplay feel was good but thats it. Bring back characters like Jack, I dont even remember the 2 streamer wannabes names or want to.

  • Those services are bullshit, there is no reason whatsoever for the other side to cooperate. All you are doing is giving another company the data yourself.

Best case they lie and say they did remove it.

  • I miss the the Battlefield 3-4 days for large scale shooters. Everything since has been complete trash. Battlebit is terrible, it's not even similar.

I'm not going to get that kind of game from an indie developer unfortunately. If it happens I'll be there.
