  • These companies entrenched themselves and showed that they are terrible to work with.

As someone starting a business, I’m just admiring all these companies like the plague.

My work is not in tech, but I used to work in tech and have been building everything with open source software.

Hosting as much as I can and even coding some things myself.

I wonder if these companies are going to end up dead over these in the future.

  • Still working

  • I think bg3 just went on sale.

  • I think a lot of younger people voted for Trump thinking he would follow through on his promises.

It seems Ohio already is is expected to lose a seat in the next election.

Also his immigration policy has been hugely unpopular.

My dad was a big Trumper last time around. He would bring up Trump all the time. He has not said anything about him for the past few months.

So, I think the tides are changing.

  • Well, I’m going to visit family next month. My sister has had 3 kids since I’ve last been back and I’ve only ever met one when he was a baby.

So there’s that. Hopefully, my flight is relatively empty so I can be comfortable on the flight.

  • For most people it’s not an issue and I doubt that was the case here, but I guess he is thinking the board is a bunch of conservative or right wingers who don’t want to work with a gay person.

But I’m guessing it was more of a rapey thing to get fired.

  • Spanish, French, German, Latin, and if you wanted to learn Italian, you could go to the sister school in the morning for that class and then come back by bus.

  • Can you elaborate on the constitutionality of that to an American.

  • That’s pretty cool, it sounds like the equivalent of a desktop environment in Linux.

  • Does switcher the launcher affect the performance in some way? I think I read somewhere that the default launcher is still running or something. But that didn’t really make sense to me.

  • If this would ever get support from banking apps I’d give it a shot.

Specifically referring to paying with qr-codes.

  • From the androids I’ve used, cheap/old ones, on the main screen when you swipe all the way to the left, it always loads Google news.

Can that be disabled on your Samsung? I’m asking, not as a criticism, but genuinely. I really think dexmode is really cool. I think I could do all my work with just a Samsung and dex mode.

  • I recently got a soldering iron to repair a Logitech mouse because I was frustrated buying new ones so frequently when the switch stopped working.

The two cheaper models were really easy to desoldier the switches. But the expensive one seemed to have some kind of metal heatsink that made it really hard to melt the solder.

After some time, I got it though.

  • I’m a fan of repairing broken things. Too bad it’s basically impossible to get parts and repair most things anymore.

  • I saw that video ages ago, it took a while for it to go into effect.

  • Do these updated vaccines have the hangover experience that the Moderna has?

I’ll be visiting my anti-vax family in the US next month and will sneak out to get the vaccine if possible.

  • Huh?

  • When I first got the steam deck, I thought it was so great and used it all the time; I still do.

I told my wife that I liked it so much that I would buy the next one as soon as it released.

After having it for some time, I realized that all the games I play run on it easily and there is no real need to upgrade.

So, I plan to use this steamdeck until it it stops working. I imagine that will be a while as I’m going to repair it when/if something breaks.
