  • Didn't even remove any fellow zionazis on his way out. Died like he lived, a loser and a coward.

    No one understands me anyway

Complete denial, even in the end. He just didn't want to accept that the world understood him very well; as a monster. Fuck him and everyone like him.

  • Bit idea: give cops exoskeletons, but program them to move like this

  • I wonder what near-death experience Carol will subject Zosia to this time

  • If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and/or high-concept sci-fi, just watch it. Since others have already put the Stalin line into context, I'll add another plot point that clowns hard on Carol's USian individualism:

Carol tries to goes grocery shopping in this episode, only to find her local Sprouts (bougie Whole Foods-style store) completely empty. So she calls up the plurbs to complain, to which they helpfully offer to bring her anything she needs. She then starts on a rant about how she's "a very iNdEpEnDenT person" and doesn't want anyone "waiting on her," and asks if they can restock the grocery store "by Friday, I'm thinking?" Which is then immediately followed by dozens of plurbs showing up with trailers full of food, and working in unison to stock the grocery store so Carol can "be independent."

It's a very obvious commentary on the modern person's concept of independence. It's also fucking hilarious, as soon as she was talking about them stocking it "by Friday" I knew we were about to see a montage of Plurbs swarming and finishing that shit now.

  • Hexbear: nooo you can't put data centers in space! You wouldn't be able to dissipate the heat effectively in space! Silly AI companies

    China: we're already doing it

  • I still very much doubt that Trump will order military strikes on Venezuela. Chances are high that any such operation would end in a quagmire. It would lessen the chances of any other policy success he might want to have.

I don't really get this, they're very much getting away with strikes on random civilians while posturing and threatening much worse. Unless they do a ground invasion, what risk to the US is there of a quagmire from hitting their mainland with missiles and bombs? Barring any hypersonic missiles that may have been snuck into Venezuela, the US unfortunately seems immune from any significant consequences here.

  • To "truly hate" something, I think you need to understand it first, and these billionaires absolutely do not understand what humanity is. I think their "hate" is on the same emotional level as a toddler being denied a toy, except unlike a toddler, they have vast resources to overcome any sort of obstacles in the way of them getting what they want (e.g. environmental regulations, people living on land they want, etc).

  • Still fucking disturbing but they didn't actually get this shite into one of the most trusted journals in all of academia.

  • Lmao, here I was worried that the patsocs would try to latch on to the Trump meeting to promote their "maga communism" bullshit, and might actually have found some significant success given the huge fissures forming in existing political bases right now.

Turns out I was giving them way too much credit, because they couldn't help but immediately throw fits over their fragile egos being hurt.

  • It's been hours and I still can't help but burst into laughter each time I look at his face in this photo. It's just so fucking funny how empty his head is, like so much so that I simply can't imagine what it's like or relate to anyway. But this image so perfectly captures his complete lack of any coherent ideology or any other complex thoughts beyond pure distilled "this guy's a winner and he's being nice to me so now I love him" and that's more than enough to remind me, so it's like a punchline that never gets old.

  • I guess we'll find out soon enough if "last person he talked to completely changes his mind" beats liking winners. I really hope not, because Trump continuing to be mesmerized by Mamdani would be extremely fucking funny and honestly probably materially good. Like, fuck it, if Zohran can shut down ICE raids in NYC by hanging out with Trump and pretending to not despise him for a day/weekend/whatever it takes, sure why not

  • I'd attend, but only to drive a stake through his corpse. Gotta make sure, y'know?

  • Vibe-Kampff

  • I know the og series was infamously horny, but the new games are actually very tame as far as sexuality goes! I can't even think of any characters that showed cleavage. Tonally, they are very different from the ps2/ps3 games set in Greece.

The entire plot of GoW 2018 is that Kratos's wife has just passed, and so him and his son take off to fulfill her last wish to have her ashes spread "across the tallest mountain in all the realms" and it's all very somber. (Aside from all the gods and minions that you have to go John Wick on along the way.)

And since it's been a few years since I played, I wanted to look into it to be sure I remembered right, and I found this interesting article (aside from some mild ableism) God of War’ reinvented: From sex games with Aphrodite to deconstructing masculinity

  • It'll be a toss-up between

's being upset that Cleopatra isn't a big booba lady they can goon to, or giddy that they can kill a bunch of brown-skinned gods. Which reminds me, Kratos is depicted as having tan/bronze skin in the original game, before he's cursed to have his skin covered by the white ashes of his dead family. Dude is literally only depicted as white because of a terrible curse put upon him by the gods.

  • The video game where a greek guy literally emigrates to Midgard, where he then starts hopping realms to kill off Norse gods (tbf in self-defense), and then the game ends by

teasing most/all other cultures' pantheons are real in this game's universe, too

Not that any of these tourists know or care about that, of course.

  • At least with KSP2, it gave us Kitten Space Agency, which arguably will turn out better than KSP2 ever could have. Plus, whereas Take2 was snubbing the franchise's original creator, KSA invited him to be involved in the sequel to his labor of love. (As well as several veteran KSP modders, like Blackrack.)

The KSP2 situation never should have been allowed to occur, of course, but the corporate sequel going down in flames might have been the best thing to happen for the genre in the long run. (Still wild that it's still being sold despite literally being abandoned early early access.)
