  • Yeah, Lower Decks is full of competent people, they're just literal cartoon characters and everything is played up for jokes. But as seen in the crossover, their real selves are a bit more toned down.

Not to mention that they did what none of the other shows even got close to: They proved that artificial intelligence can have a consciousness beyond just hardware and software.

They created an AI that ascended to a higher plane of existence.

  • I was initially put off by the character graphics and combat system, but yes it is a good story game. Other people have explained the good parts, so here are some of my personal complaints:

    • There are some really dragged out cinematics. It seems like they tried to fit some of them to the music, but didn't have anything more to animate, so sometimes it's really long lingering or circling shots.
    • After certain quests, you end up "having" to spend a long time checking in on companions. And depending on your order of quests, this can happen several times in a row. So it can take out of the quest-flow a little.
    • There's basically no map. There is an "overworld" map that is very crude and basically just shows "land, sea and major points of interest". Theres nothing when you're in a point of interest. So some areas can be frustrating to navigate, even when they're not supposed to be.
    • There are parts where characters seemingly make odd or rushed decisions and act as if you should know why already. Almost as if some parts were cut and they forgot to compensate in all related sections.

Personally I'm still not a big fan of the combat, and play mostly for the story. So I'm on story-mode difficulty with mods that increase resource drops and dodge window(it does not deactivate achievements).

  • “No one could have faked all this. Why would she have worked with me for three and a half years, never demanding anything?”

It might all be real, but there's no way Lesley-Ann is this naive?

  • That would be awesome, but sadly the biggest shift wont happen until the major anti cheats start supporting proton.

  • That's nothing new.

Gamers who don't know any programming, or maybe made a little utility for themselves. Looovee to bring out the old "just change one line of code", "just add this model", etc. to alter something in a game.

They literally do not understand how complex systems become, specially in online multiplayer games. Riot had issues with their spaghetti code, and people were crawling over eachother to explain how "easy" it would be to just change an ability. Without realizing that it could impact and potentially break half a dozen other abilities.

  • At this point it's basically just propaganda to give the illusion that something is being done.

  • Of course he doesn't want a deal, he wants bribes. It's literally a racket.

  • She got a BA in political science while a representative, she has ran the family farm, etc. so she knows how to do things, but she's a lunatic.

The woman shot her own 14 month old dog because it "ruined" a hunting trip by not acting like the older and trained hunting dogs. Something she almost bragged about in her book.

  • Sounds like!?! They literally quote the bible and call it sinful:

In the school’s most recent handbook, the Marriage, Gender and Sexuality section reads, “We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; I Cor 6:9-10.)”

  • Yes. The GNK-series droids are the most famous among the power droids. Those are literally walking generators and power banks. There is a heavy version PLNK(plunk) series with four legs. Both of which have a flat top, so you can use it to put things on them.

They have been modified as weapons during some encounters. Where they would just walk straight ahead and explode when it collided with something.

There's also rumours of a "Cult of the Power Droids". Where a group of gonk robots would show up at night and ask for donations. And the best way to get rid of them, is to say "Gonk. Gonk. Gonk ko kyenga see", which is apparently so rude it can't legally be translated to basic(galactic basic standard, aka "english").

  • That is such an American view on politics.

A right wing party doing well in one election, does not shift the entire political spectrum for all the other parties. Specially not when you have a parliment with six or so different parties.

  • Classic joke, but what I find interesting is that the people who say it with conviction. Tend to be the kind of people who are into knights, swords and things like that. And they're so invested in not being wrong, that they literally don't consider the whole "forging metal with coal" aspect.

  • It's more that he's basically living in his own delusional world.

For example: In 2010 he said the UK should cut their military budget since the threat of "global communism" ended with the cold war. And he did not mean reduce the budget, he meant all of it. And argued that the army, air force, navy, etc. should all just be shut down. (source)

The top headline is from 2016 and he voted remain. But not because he heeded the warnings from either side(he calls them idiots), but because he thought the EU needed the UK's "forceful presence" to prevent Germany taking control and start "bullying"(he's claimed Germany has been "punishing" the UK through the EU).

He also thinks it's a good idea to quote Kissinger about negotiations regarding Brexit.

Side-note: He has continously said that everyone should stop giving military aid to Ukraine. And has repeatedly called it a "border dispute".

  • They're not shocked that he lied, they're shocked that he lied to them. As long as his lies only impact other people, they literally cheer and praise the lying.

  • Lying is the first thing he does when he looks in the mirror after he wakes up.

  • Beetle = beetle.

    budgie smuggler = tight underwear/speedo

    chop, chomp = bite

Animals tend to seek high-ground during floods, to avoid drowning. Doesn't matter if it's a human or a tree, so beetles and spiders climb him and hide. Although he's happy that it's beetles and not snakes.

  • He talked about it publically, and there was a business delegation sent there, but no formal dialogue was initiated. So no actual offers made.

You have to remember that they are incompetent. They didn't know they had to reach out and start making offers, drawing up paperwork, etc. Although they will probably try to save face by proudly claiming they were never really interested in the first place. And the sheep will cheer on his genius business strategy of not getting anything.

  • In the US medicaid starts at 65, but you can get lucky and have workplace pension that start early. You only get "full retirement" with Social Security/state pension if you wait until 67 and many wait until then. Which seems similar to Denmark.
