  • Exactly, it's unironically the type of situation where an overly pedantic DM or player would be mocked if they tried to argue helmet armor in regards to something that only does leg damage.

  • It's a broken leg, not head injury. That should've been the end of that argument.

  • It's like seeing the Norwegian or Canadian flag on winter clothing, you just assume it's going to keep you warm.

  • Control the weather. Target individuals. How can anyone get this stupid?

Most of the out-there conspiracy people just don't understand something(in this case climate change), and invent/attached themselves to a fantasy where they've "seen through the lies" and everyone else is wrong. A lot of them actually know deep down that they're wrong, but ironically they don't want to be seen as stupid for admitting they don't understand. That's why they love using phrases that indicate non-believers are dumb, followers/sheep, or that deniers just don't understand, etc.

TL;DR: They're too stupid to realize they're acting stupid.

  • The three people were replaced with a guy who used to work at EA. And one of their first announcements was an unprompted "we wont put loot boxes in the game"..

  • will there be huge power plants just dedicated to AI all over the world soon?

Construction has started(or will soon) to convert a retired coal power plant in Pennsylvania to gas power, specifically for data-centers. Upon completion in 2027 it will likely be the third most powerful plant in the US.

The largest coal plant in North Dakota was considering shutting down in 2022 over financial issues, but is now approved to power a new data-center park.

Location has been laid out for a new power plant in Texas, from a single AI company you've probably never heard of.

    And on it goes.

  • There's also quite a few people in the US who are catholic in name only, and are actually against the pope/vatican. It's so bad that last year the vatican ended up excommunicating an Italian archbishop and former diplomat to the US, because over the years he'd gone full blown conspiracy theorist maga. To the point where he was ranting about the new world order and called pope Francis a servant of Satan.

  • I hope for your sake that you haven't actually the seen pictures or clips of the event, and that you're just parroting things you've heard.

  • I don't know what she even thinks it is.

    She thinks it's the enemy.

That type of response has nothing to do with politics or even reality, it's just "us vs. them". People attribute everything they think is evil to "them".

(It's not just communism hate. Because anyone who knows what it is, know that he isn't one.)

  • Yeah, for some reason they've seemed to made it harder to find the actual start menu settings instead of more generic taskbar settings. So that's a fair point.

  • In the original studies they threw a bunch of adult wolves from different packs into a small enclosure. Then reported the fight for dominance as if it was how they normally act in nature. Most packs in nature are just a mom and a dad with kids from the last 2-3 years, who usually leave on their own.

  • England sits at a yearly mean "sunshine hours" of 1538. If it wasn't for the western and northern parts it would be be one rank higher.

English people just love to complain about the weather, despite it raining ~50% more in Wales and Scotland.

  • Windows has this "feature", where is the setting?

I assume youre talking about W11?

Because the "Show recently added apps" setting is third option in the start menu settings on W10.

  • Based on how ISPs seem to not get their CGNAT setups right, it's not going away any time soon.

  • It's so weird listening to people like that.

They've spent so much time metaphorically jerking eachother off and gassing eachother up, that they don't realize their projection is VERY obvious.

  • That's one way to tell everyone that you didn't understand the comment.

  • I know Jerry Seinfeld is a creep and along with Jason Alexander they're both zionists. Michael Rirchard had that whole racism incident. But what did Jula Lous-Dreyfus do?

  • To summarize this propaganda piece by the NYT:

"Europe lacks quality alternatives", "It wont fuel innovation in Europe", "They should just keep buying our cutting edge technology", "USA number 1!!!11 whoo whoo whoo"

    What a joke.

  • Police medic, not people medic.
