  • I'm getting the feeling it's going to become more difficult for my employer to get people to travel to american customer sites

I'm certainly not. not for any amount of money they'd pay me

  • I can think of a more recognizable square symbol to go on their forehead

  • teaching people to not be an asshole is a virtuous endeavor

  • I think you're a bit too stuck in the "immediate access to everyone" way of things

if I get lost, having cell service won't help me, because I have GPS on my phone that can show me where to go. and if I'm lost in the backcountry... I already don't have cell service lol

if my car breaks down, I'll wait until somebody comes along and ask for help

if I'm on my way somewhere and somebody wants me to cancel, then I'll get the message when I stop for a coffee or I'll show up and then go home. if they want me to pick something up last minute.. it doesn't get picked up on my way over. not a big deal.

I have cell service. have for years. but the more time goes on, the less I find it necessary. and the more anecdotal evidence I have to support that.

important note: I do not have children or family members in vulnerable condition

  • that's not the way I expected that to go

    thank you for sharing. genuinely

  • it's only a matter of time

  • all my local facebook nazi sympathizer had to say about the matter was... nothing. they shut their mouth up tight about this event.

now they're ranting about how people don't realize that the anarchocommunists want people to get upset and support the anti-ICE protests, because it'll provoke a reaction that they can use to justify further violence.

it's just an absurd statement considering reality is flipped, I had to read it twice to ensure I understood what that dumbass was saying. and this guy owns a business and wants to start a neural company of some kind...

  • duh, just remove the automatic repeatable part. this is why you should think before commenting, kids. jeepers look at me go

but yeah, while annoying for regular use, certainly doable for certain occasions. and probably could be semi-automated fairly easily

  • this is not my area at all, but there's got to be some sort of ribbon design out there to randomize the travel after each keystroke

  • yeah, then or at any other random event that they choose or manufacture

    it is inevitable

  • guy thinks he owns the road lmao

  • I might not be able to change what manufacturers are doing, but I do try.

I write them to let them know about their dangerous LED headlights. I write them to let them know exactly why I will not buy one of their vehicles, even used, because it has a giant touchscreen interface for core controls that is useless when the sun is shining on it.

I treat owners who are making the streets more dangerous for me like shit, and I'll tell them why if they bother to ask. most will probably just say fuck off and not change their mind, but some might actually think about how their actions affect people.

  • because, overwhelmingly, they're dumb and selfish and ignorant, and they choose to be that way.

some aren't. some are willing to be educated. but not most.

  • the auto manufacturing chain is so intertwined in NA that I'm not even sure it's worth trying to figure out what vehicle is the most or least Canadian

I think what's far more effective is to just consume less - don't buy the big top trim crossover or truck that you don't need. keep it simple.

to be fair, I've never actually looked at the numbers myself, but it still makes me laugh whenever people say "oh but it was assembled in ____". like, sure, but where did all the parts come from? the sheer scale of the automotive industry is incredible. millions and millions of dollars go into production lines for just one component that gets used on a platform that's shared by several brands, and the people involved in making and running those production lines are all across Canada and the US and Mexico, often with plants in more than one country that make the same part.

  • fun fact: teenage Rittenhouse had better discipline and control during the immediate timeframe of him shooting people than these 5+ year ICE/CBP goons have

regardless of what he set out to do, if you watch the videos of the event, it's actually less of a transgression than the shit going on now. and that's, uh, sad.

  • it's a wake up call the same way your alarm is a wake up call two hours after it initially went off and you've been hitting snooze every five minutes

  • there is an important distinction: getting rid of the intolerant

this can't be fixed by just adding the other third of voters to oppose it. 1/3 of the voting population supporting this is still too high for it to go away.

  • with the clip rusted on

  • I did not previously have that opinion, but his statement here is indefensible.

there is no place in society for this man.
