  • that, or what's been happening more recently is it links to an article on the official Microsoft support page but it's been archived because they're moving to some new site, and there is no link to the new site's content that supercedes the dead link

  • so this one time when I was a kid, I was biking through a parking lot and kicking at some garbage, because why not

I kicked at an upright soda cup. it exploded all up my legs and looked like I'd pissed myself for the next couple hours

    same idea

  • it's a Mustang, it has to be satire

  • down now?

  • those demons consuming the souls of innocents were on to something

  • Draw!

    Jump
  • I think he might be confused and think it's February 2025 and the US just lost the tourney

  • this is not a comic where you want to look closely at any of the spacial details

  • that doesn't mean it has to say bullshit like that, it ruins the joke

  • how the fuck does this save water, you still need the same amount per bowl

  • lightweight low speed small electric cars in cities are an absolute win

heavy high speed (= more tire wear) electric cars is just more consumerist slop

  • yeah, I actually like it now, but that's mostly because they made the start menu so fucked up and full of shit

I've adjusted to just hitting start and typing the first few characters of what I want to open and slapping enter. I'm okay with that process, I actually kind of like it. I don't need to look at what's going on and I don't need to move my hand over to the mouse. The only problem, and this is kind of a big thing, is that yeah it doesn't search just my fucking installed programs, and sometimes it just opens another program that doesn't even match what I typed. so the 60% success rate at best is kind of a big failure

  • I would type my notes in class because it's faster, then rewrite them by hand to study off of. except by the time I finished rewriting them, I usually wouldn't need to study off them any more

  • One of my bosses was screen sharing with me this week and had co-pilot up in Excel. I don't know what he was doing with it. he started fucking around with it while he was screen sharing, just doing something unrelated to what we were talking about. I know he was just trying to bait me into asking what was going on.

fuck that, I don't care, I know you love your AI, I don't give a shit, it's not useful for what I do and I don't want to talk about how it can almost do something kind of right

  • Microsoft removed my quick access links to my desktop folder today

why? I don't know. I guess they want to force me to use the OneDrive desktop folder. which I do use, for shit I want synced to OneDrive. but I also have a local desktop folder I use for temp files, and fuck you very much Microsoft left me fucking use my computer how I want to

side note, I had a little program that would export a file that a user had open to their desktop in a specific format. great program, super useful for the application we were running it in, it made a multi-step process of navigating menus into a single button click. I've been using it for the past few years at this company. cue my surprise when some new people inform me that the button doesn't work for them and so they haven't been using it - BECAUSE MICROSOFT TOOK AWAY THE LOCAL USER DESKTOP FOLDER LMFAO. it blew my mind that people had to go manually create a desktop folder, I had never thought to add checking if that folder exists to the code.

  • When an agent moved to detain the person who spit on him, the crowd tackled and attacked the agents while surrounding them.

    heroes

  • yep. housing hoarders disgust me

  • oh I did. it was still too late. fuck your back up one time and end up in the hospital and it's gonna bother you for life

    stretching really helps though

  • those numbers are inflated to fuck, or else the people studied for it are just wasteful as fuck

I take long showers often multiple times a day, wash a lot of stuff by hand, do a lot of garden watering, fill a kiddie pool when it's hot, and wash my hands very often. I still only reach a max of 60 gallons a day on average in the summer. typically half that in the winter. and I wfh so all my shitting is done at home, too.

who the fuck is flushing 15 gallons a day just by themself? and who the fuck is doing multiple loads of laundry every single day?

the incredibly low quality of that blog post pisses me off. garbage like that makes the world a worse place, and whoever published that should be ashamed of their work
