  • It's not about the fucking money dude! No one gives a shit, you've got it bassakwards. You're so wrapped up in getting enough to beat the other team that you're completely missing what your voters actually want. Love them or hate them, Obama, Bernie, and even Trump showed you guys that if you talk to people, if you speak their language, and (in Trump's case pretend to) address their concerns, that other shit won't matter.

  • I think it's also the younger users here don't know/remember the time when all Boomers flipped their shit and thought Beanie Babies were THE ONE TRUE investment strategy. They didn't watch their parents blow their entire retirement fund on a scam. Instead they were the ones that actually got to play with them, so naturally they look back on them fondly.

  • I hear ya, but I gotta say, America ain't nothing compared to Japan in that regards. They have actual standardized stock phrases for all types of interactions, at work and at home. I have been in meetings where some participants literally didn't utter a single word that resembled an original thought, and it was completely acceptable.
