Opinions exclusively of my own and of voices in my head.

  • Nobody cares about ballistic missiles since they didn’t prevent anyone from being invaded so far. Nukes on the other hand are a game over for bullies like US, Russia or China. Iran is quite open about pursuing this capability too and their enrichment facilities were heavily targeted during that brief war couple of months ago.

  • Saudis and Israelis get to have nukes but Iran is going to get invaded because of it. Americans can’t get over being ousted along with a patsy shah that gave away their oil fields for free. Good thing BBC along with AP are setting up his grandson for picking up the slack on becoming a colony again.

  • What a reputational disaster it is for ECB. Deutsche Welle (German state broadcaster) even ran a piece on why Legarde stepping down ahead of time is a good thing because even if it shows central bank isn’t really politically independent, it’s the good guys abusing the system so it’s all fine.

  • Britain occupied half of the world and European ancestry is so common it doesn’t have much meaning. Using this logic any world news can be posted to this community and if I want to read world news there are better suited communities.

  • Is this correct community for a piece strictly on Israel / Palestine though?

  • Given that Apple bundled YouTube with iOS back in the day, creating a direct competitor is a bit of a shift, yes.

  • Do you mean that there should be no more video platforms because there is one already? It never ceases to amaze me how hostile towards alternatives Fediverse users can be.

  • I don’t trust blurry videos in the era of chatbots hallucinating short video clips. I’m seeing mostly Israeli media reporting this so I can’t say I’m convinced. I’m getting an impression a consent for invasion is being manufactured very hastily.

  • These people seem to hate free markets but only when they’re on the receiving end, curious.

  • Trump is a moron so I’m not sure why you care about what he thinks. If your point was to use association fallacy then, well, it’s just a logical fallacy.

To me it appears that Japan is accelerating the end of negative interest rates which combined with US behaving irrationally means domestic investment is coming back to Japan. This conservative but expansionist monetary policy seems to be working very well in this scenario.

This looks similar to what conservatives did where I live and 10 years later I had to eat my hat and admit it they were right, despite economics professors saying we’d go bankrupt. Turns out academics aren’t free from bias and some simply represent certain interests.

  • You don’t even have to do that. Make Palestinians actual citizens with voting rights, let democracy run it’s course. It would end with dissolution of Israel as it is now and nobody can say they weren’t given the voice.

  • Countries don’t stop having national interests by the virtue of being in EU or NATO. Neither is very firm on specifics of what a response has to be and Russia thrives in ambiguity, hence their hybrid warfare efforts.

  • I don't see it any different, aside of that i don't believe that influence was as orchestraded and planned out as the new plans are.

That’s a very naive way of thinking about the US, a country known for violently meddling with affairs of other countries. I think it’s your bias for one of the capitalist factions that makes it difficult to accept.
