  • Iirc if you die your character becomes a zombie that can be looted. You lose all skill progress and have to make a new character. The amount of loot retained from the zombie can be modified. I think there are mods that allow you to retain skill progression as well.

  • A tldr due to it being in Finnish:

    • Finland was in 15th place in 2014
    • ~1.2 million have over 30 BMI in Finland
    • ~1.2 million have fatty liver, 800k some type of sleep apnea, 500k type 2 diabetes
    • Processed foods and sweets getting more popular are blamed as the reason for this
    • Some experts and doctors recommend a higher taxes on these products, especially sweets (a higher candy tax was supposed to happen this year, but it was lobbied by companies not to); soft drink tax is still planned to get higher this year.
    • Some mentions at the end about Pohjois-Karjala(North Karelia) project. Old project that was done to reduce heart and lung diseases occuring in that municipality by teaching how to reduce salt/fat/smoking. Something similar could be done now in whole Finland
  • Played a bit before going to sleep. Wonderful rythm game so far; a bit different from others so it has some novelty. It has fun mix of following the beat/rythm, while reacting to the enemies' mechanics.

Wish that there was a difficulty between hard and impossible.

  • As an avid PoE1 player who has 8h (act3) so far in the second game: gameplay feels more skill based (enemy/boss attack patterns, synergistic skills, more active defences/survivability) while in original you can faceroll most of the acts and endgame with enough knowledge (vendor recipes, "face tankable" content, automateable defences/damage, simple investable survivability). This might be why people are comparing it to soulslike.

Also the pacing is a lot slower which might add to the feeling of og Diablo/Diablo 2. Of course the progression will be faster after meta is found, but people still theorize that getting to endgame takes more time in PoE2.

  • Article and Riot's official documents refer to penalising toxic (flaming teammates/other people) behaviour during content creation with Riot' IPs. A negative review isn't toxic inherently

  • Doesn't feel quite "world news" worthy article.

Context for the news: Olkiluoto 3 is one of the newest nuclear power plants in Finland and originally it was meant to be complete in 2009. It ran in 2021 for the first time and was fully running in 2022 in its test runs. It was operational in 2023-ish?

It has been a huge money sink with the delays in its constructions and constant malfunctions while running it (no danger thanks to safety regulations). Olkiluoto 3's delays and malfunctions have decreased the citizens' interest in nuclear energy tremendeously. When it actually runs properly, it is a noticeable margin on Finland's energy production.

  • At least for me it doesn't keep autoplaying videos/going to next video on Youtube (probably a setting I could change somewhere). Grayjay is pretty handy for other media platforms as well.

  • Plastic cutting boards are sadly the cheaper and less work requiring option for restaurants/ larger kitchens. Wood just doesn't survive going through an industrial dishwasher that many times and nobody is going to hand wash 10+ wood boards a day. I haven't properly looked into what plastic our kitchen's plastic boards are, but it seems to be more durable than the usual home ones.

  • 2025 seems to be what they are sticking with. One of the consolde devs slipped up and talked about november for closed? beta
