Why would you be curious about an unreliable, easily manipulatable, economic pile of shit like the stock market? "Value" means hardly anything, anymore.
I see it as a world litmus test for law versus force. If you get invaded and you let them take your land, no matter what it's "worth", you have been conquered.
Yeah. One day in the middle of mass everyone started shaking hands with the person on their right, pew ahead, their left and pew behind. It freaked me out the first time I experienced it. All of the pained smiles. This started in early to mid seventies. I don't know if they still do it. It was a small town roman catholic venue.
These guys pretending to be smart just want money and power, exactly like all of the other money/power shitheads. Cloaking yourself in "intellectualism" doesn't take you very far in this day and age where everybody thinks they know everything.
Canada's big banks rake in so much interest money it's sickening. The banks want the economy to suffer so more borrowing can be done. It works at odds with societal progression for the citizenry. In retrospect, we sure fucked up by choosing capitalism..
That's what I thought church was all about when I was a little kid. By the age of 8 I knew it was a boatload of crap as there were more mean people in church than nice and friendly ones. Even when they introduced 360 degree handshaking, it still felt contrived.
In a more civilized society morals and ethics align closely with laws. That's theory though, I think we ended up with a cabal of pedophiles and tech bros who just want dirty girl pics and fuck the masses. Good for her standing up (if it's not yet another fake grandstanding event).
Go Canada!
