My thought was why should they need to free innocent students ?

First of all, in a french eye, the democrats are not really leftists, Sanders would be akin to center left (if I rembember correctly).

Second, I cannot do a lot of stuff for americans but try to get people off of american companies that are swearing servitude to trump (meta and X mainly) and I really fear for all of you and hope you can have a way out (state protection, or fleeing the country (maybe as asile seekers)).

Maybe the solution is that everyone become a transgender man so that you can avoid this shitty rule (they seem to be forgotten by the order (lol))

At some point, we, europeans, need to say “fuck off” to the USA, including (maybe as a first thing) all the IT company (I am biased on this one). But the European Union is also a very bad agreement in favor of the capital mainly. Ça remonte à un peu plus de la semaine mais sur warframe il y a peu j’ai obtenu la pièce qui me manquait pour lancer la construction de nova prime et je suis content. J’ai aussi vu qu’il me manquait une pièce pour chacune des warframes suivantes : ash prime, mag prime, trinity prime et volt prime. Même chose pour l’odonata prime. Maintenant j’hésite sur l’obtention de ces pièces. Pour expliquer : l’obtention des pièces prime se fait avec des items qui ont des drop tables uniques. En ce qui concerne les éléments primes sus nommés, on ne peut plus obtenir les items les dropant. Ce qui m’embête, c’est qu’il me reste peu de ces items et je n’ai pas pris de décision dessus. I really need to make my write-up about my nextcloud install. It feature :

• nextcloud fpm
• postgresql
• nginx
• redis
• elastic search for full text search (still needs a bit of work¹)
• notify_push
• collabora (still needs a bit of work ¹)

All of it running in rootless podman pod with a dedicated user for the stack. It is all with podman units, and a systemd timer for nextcloud’s cronjobs.

¹ means that there is trouble with usermapping. Instead of having my user properly mapped inside the container to run the apps, they use a dedicated one and I dont know hot to correct it and I have been a bit lazy to change it.

I totally disagree with the quote from hackernews. Having the option to use sqlite is nice to test it, but going with postgresql or mariadb allows you to have better performance if you use rdbms. Also, packaging with containers allows to have one standardized image for support if some third party packaging (from a distro repo) is bugging to test it further. To me, a good gui really depends on what service is provided. For kanidm (IAM), I don’t care this much of a web admin panel, the cli is really intuitive and if you need some graph views of your users, you can generate some diagram files. Considering OIDC/LDAP, I’d rather have OIDC implemented for two reasons : I can point my users to the (really minimalist) kanidm ui where they have a button for each app allowed. Also, the login informations are only stored in kanidm, no spreading of login password.

I saw a comment about not needing to rely on many third services but I partly disagree with it. Using nextcloud as a mixed example, using elastic search for full text search is better than reimplementing it, but the notify_push should not be as separated as it is (it is here because I understood, apache-php and websockets does not mix well).

All in all, the main criterias for me are :

• SSO with OIDC, but ldap is good enough
• Good documentation
• easy deployment to test, prod deployment can be more advanced
• Not reimplement the weel eg if you need full text search, meilisearch or elastic can do it better than you will, so don’t try to much (a simple grep for a test instance is enough)
• If you need to store files, having remote stores is nice to have (webdav or s3)

C’est un asustor as6404t. On a un celeron skylake, 8GO de DDR3 (que je devrais pouvoir augmenter un jour) qui tourne sous opensuse leap 15.6 (merci asustor de permettre de changer d’OS) avec 4 baies. Niveau stockage j’ai :

• 2*Seagate iron wolf pro 4TO en raid 1 pour le stockage de fichiers
• 1 ssd de 120Go pour mon /var/lib (contient les bases de données et les conteneurs)
• 2*clefs usb de 128Go en raid 1 de stockage pour l’OS.

Pour mes services je passe par un compte utilisateur et du podman rootless (ça a bien galéré avec nextcloud)
