  • I'm not a user of brave, but I did a quick Google and it looks like they're ad blocking will be unaffected. As for other extensions, I think that at least some will be supported for a year, while others may break immediately but I didn't take too deep TBH

  • *An old free version that was purposefully hidden and buried by reverse SEO tactics, but yeah

  • Samesies. What has become increasingly frustrating is that many opt-out emails require me to disable tracker control. It should be illegal to force tracking to avoid future tracking

  • If my main reference of weather was "why my weather forecast is better than your weather forecast", then yes, weather becomes a religion

  • Theism in its purest form is similarly devoid of religion. My point is that as a practicing atheist, I do not identify with the ways that many of you practice atheism.

Look at the recently-created threads: "everyone, here's a Christian pedophile", "everyone here are stupid Christians" etc. there are ways to actualize your perspective on atheism without always punching down on religion. If we reduce ourselves to only comparing ourselves to the other, we lose who we are as individuals in the process.

The approach that this board has is disappointing and mirrors religion in a way that seems obvious to those that are not taking part of the circle jerk

  • A circle jerk around the meaning of life

  • There is an irony that atheism becomes a religion to a lot of atheists.

It reminds me of how some liberals have transformed into the people they disliked when they just want to own the MAGA crowd instead of actually rallying behind progressive policies and ideals

  • If you are self hosting front end alternatives like teddit or nitter,, libredirect is a great tool. Now, even when I browse the internet on my tablet, the extension will redirect to my server instance instead

  • 💀 at making it a men's rights issue.

From my perspective, it's toxic to always get your audience worked up over minute things. That kind of content is what I tried to avoid hence my move to Lemmy

  • There's also cheat as well

  • I want to second cycling. It's a good way to explore your city for free as well as getting shape. There are often cycling groups that you can join as well if you want to socialize on top of it

  • Is this the guy who always is over the top with his emotions in his videos?

  • Personally, I use Debian and gravitate towards flat paks, but I'm starting to question whether this is just one of those hills Linux users arbitrarily choose to die on a la systemd/wayland? I suppose one of the advantages of an opinionated OS is a vast array of opinions

  • Can you copy/paste your code so that we can take a look at it? Alternatively, if you load a tix on the Clipious GitHub, they might be able to assist.

  • Didn't know this, thanks for sharing!

  • Daddy likes leather?

  • Does anyone have any suggestions for a Garmin watch? Alternatively, since the battery is on its last legs, I am probably overdue to buy a new watch if anyone has any FOSS-friendly suggestions (either out the box or after disabling certain sync functionality outside of my local lan)

  • Gotcha. I almost exclusively ride on a bike path so it doesn't quite fit my needs, but I'll keep an eye out for them regardless
