  • Why pixel 8 in particular? Wouldn't an A series pixel be cheaper.

  • Has someone found any apps with the warning text?

  • They would 1st enforce DRM and other security features before doing that. Stuff like Manifest V3 and others will continue to restrict use and addon access making them less user friendly than before.

  • I have a Realme phone and have similar number of apps and also multi task heavily. Fortunately, I have 12GB of RAM so reboot is not necessary.

  • What android phone are you using? I can go fine for nearly a month. Would've been longer but need to reboot to apply security updates.

  • The X post appears to be just a promo post. It does not actually confirm anything. The official store listing still says 3+4 Updates. Could be lazy copy paste from marketing.

    Hopefully, that's not the case.

  • You could buy last year's flagship or refurbished. Security updates would be the main reason to upgrade.

  • Who says you are getting worse battery life? You get nearly twice as much battery life with oneplus 15 compared to S25 Ultra. Also a full charge takes 40 mins to vs 1hr 28mins on the S25 Ultra.

  • But, we do see bigger battery phones outside china. Oneplus 15 has 7400mAh battery for example. Others like Iqoo, oppo, vivo, poco also provide large battery phones worldwide.

  • I use cleverkeys keyboard and futo voice for superior typing experience. The suggestions are simply unbeatable by anyone.

  • Someone tried and liked Dictation Daddy. It's not foss but can do the job and play store shows no ads.

  • Atleast this time it wasn't DNS.

  • It was last updated 2yrs ago. Of course its going to be broken.

  • Yes, autocorrect!

  • I was in agreement and had high expectations with the ai;dr abbreviation usage until I read the article.

For me, writing is the most direct window into how someone thinks, perceives, and groks the world. Once you outsource that to an LLM, I'm not sure what we're even doing here. Why should I bother to read something someone else couldn't be bothered to write?

Agreed. If you cannot put effort into something you want to convey why should I? But, then comes the next paragraphs.

I'm having a hard time articulating this but AI-generated code feels like progress and efficiency, while AI-generated articles and posts feel low-effort and make the dead internet theory harder to dismiss.

So, AI assisted coding is progress but AI assisted writing is not? Sounds hypocritical.

and call me an AI luddite, I use LLMs pretty extensively for work. Claude Code has been tearing into my token budget for months now. I can't imaging writing code by myself again, specially documentation, tests and most scaffolding.

You cannot imagine writing code by yourself but expect others to write articles by themselves?

Growing up, typos and grammatical errors were a negative signal. Funnily enough, that’s completely flipped for me. The less polished and coherent something is, the more value I assign to it.

But eh, broken English and a lack of capitalization is now just a simple skill away so does it even matter?

The same can be said for coding. You are getting AI to put the effort instead of doing that yourself. Why should I trust your code? I dislike Vibe coding and LLM generated articles. They lack the authenticity a real person's work would've.

  • The contributors to the revanced project had a fallout. That's why forked.

  • Revanced has not been updated for a while. Try Morphe. Its a fork of revanced which is updated frequently and has a newer youtube version to boot.

  • The collapsible sidebar is a relic of ancient times. I don't think making the icon car pill shaped is necessarily the same as liquid glass.

Its not liquid glass but is similar and inspired by Apple's design language.

They should've made the layout sleek so it felt more modern.

Personally, they should've went all in or used android's Material Expressive themes. Telegram's current design is not that good.
