If he's attempting to point out Trump's terrible leadership, no one is doing anything about that either so it just makes him look weak.   • I don't want anyone between me and my doctor. Doctors should be deciding what care I require and billing the govt for it. If the government thinks something fishy is going on, they can audit them after the fact. I need not be involved. As it stands I don't go to the doctor at all because I'm worried they'll do some test or something that wasn't actually approved by my insurance and I'll get slapped with a bill for 1000s of dollars.

  • That is the job of the government. Everyone needs healthcare to one degree or another. If we're all going to be pooling money anyway it shouldn't be filtered through a for-profit system first.

    On another note, unless an insurance is mandatory you can usually opt to pay yourself.

  • Yeah the ones with like a 1.5 cab aren't terrible but I don't want something that's dedicating a whole ass second seating area for passengers when I don't ever drive other people around. Being able to fit an entire desk/bookcase/bedframe in the bed is far more important to me (and being able to get it out without having to climb because I'm short as fuck).

  • (US) I’ve noticed over the past couple of years that “small” trucks are starting to shrink again. Seems they finally hit critical mass.

    I fucking pray this is true. All I want in a vehicle is a late 90s style pickup with a single cab and a full bed to drive on the highway. I don't need passenger space, I don't need ridiculous ground clearance, I don't need an engine powerful enough for towing. I just need something to haul furniture and lumber around in, maybe some yard waste if I ever manage to afford a house. Bonus points if it's electric.

    If nothing like that comes out I'll just keep driving my Honda civic until it disintegrates and borrow my dad's shitty Colorado when necessary.

  • This reminded me of the time when I was a kid and woke up at like 3 am to a toy from the shelf that was over my bed landing on me. Followed shortly by a couple other items. I then had to duck and cover and tank it as the rest of the shelf landed on me because my cat was right next to me sleeping like the dead and I didn't want it to hit her.

    It's one of those things that makes me question if there's a god or fate or whatever because if that thing had just whacked me in the head while I was asleep it would have really sucked.
