  • A couple of low level bank workers went to jail, not any of those actually responsible. Iceland has also had a financial crisis regularly, so I don't know about fine. Sometimes its better to be part of something bigger, like NATO or the EU.

  • Do you dislike your dependency on Android? To the rescue comes Mobile Linux "PostmarketOS" - Funded via Donations (link to 2025 Priorities -> Focus on Reliabilty, Audi, Camera, etc)

  • SailfishOS is fully functional and usable if you do not need any playstore-only apps. Even then they have now implemented microg in v5.0

  • Several excellent applications currently offer comprehensive alternatives to Google services. What are your preferred applications at this time?

  • I once had a Roundcube setup just to access gmail IMAP. It worked great and I did not have to get google tracking cookie.

  • I've been using it lately, I like it very much. They use iTunes as search provider by default.
