  • are you really? Maybe you are not as good as you think. Maybe the will find out that you are not the grand trickster you think you are.

  • Whoever ate a sandwich ate a sandwich.

  • Dude, I've got an old macro lens with a max f/45, need it for the depth of field. F32 on a sunny day outside or at specific lighting is nothing unusual.

  • I think they wanted to kow, whether you had any trouble using openbsd as a daily driver. Like missing software, libraries or other misc. packages that are not available on openBSD, when compared to other OSs.

  • He only proposed the cat thing to show how ridiculous it is to apply quantum mechanics to macroscopic objects. Unfortunately the sarcasm was missed and it became the standard example of quantum mechanics.

  • What if the world was flat, like a disc. A discworld, so to say. And it is like this because the corner of the cosmos it floats through is just a bit more absurd than regular reality.

  • Every villain gets curbstombed almost instantly. The show is about them trying not to simply murder every annoyance in their real life, using all those constantly appearing villains as outlets for all the repressed violence.

Everyone is afraid of the four dnd chars, but of course no one knows that its the girls.

  • Other way around. If your fantasy / sci-fi novel does not sell well, rebrand it as a new groundbreaking "history". Include how it gets ridiculed by main stream science that does maliciously ignore all the evidence.

You have instantly gained a huge, uncritical customer and fan base.

    Edited a few typos.

  • The base doesn't help you if you push past it.

  • Not only kids. I would have to look for the papers, but there are enough behavioural studies on how people react when given alcohol. Many people start acting drunk when told that there is alcohol in their drinks, regardless of that being true. At the same time they do not act as obnoxiously drunk when given alcohol without their knowledge. The typical slurring of speech, loss of coordination and associated physical effects come into effect, but the behavioral changes are weaker. Up to the point where they realize they are drunk.

This together with the studies of drunken behavior across the globe has lead some researchers to posit the hypothesis that the behavior while drunk is more of a cultural effect, based on how the culture expects people to act while drunk.

  • The darkness envelopes all

  • But there is the possibility of people and the sun outside. How can one have fun outside when one risks to encounter people and getting bombarded with high energy death rays.

  • And here I am, expecting to see some snack food.

  • The OP said "get airborne". Controlled flight was not part of the discussion.

  • I am very certain that most animals can get airborne, even for prolonged periods of time, when reaching high enough speed. The trick lies in accelerating them to sufficient speed. Safe landing and deceleration can also pose a problem.

  • funnily enough I always found the tiles to be harder to read. For me ASCII is clearer on what the enemy is and how dangerous it is. Always been a huge ASCII fan so maybe that colors my opinion.
