  • Unreal Engine's Linux builds are very neglected compared to Windows. Windows gets DX12 which is the main rendering API for the engine, Vulkan (which the native Linux version uses, also available on Windows) is a complete after-thought unless you're on Android where it is the main target.

  • nopaystation is safe, you get the titles directly from sony's servers. it's the sony equivalent of ciangel/freeshop back when you could do that on your 3ds. it's only for digital games, so i don't think armored core 4 ever got a psn release so you'd need to get the .iso for it anyways.

  • For non-Steam stuff, sc-controller might do the trick. The Dolphin and Duckstation forks are Windows only (yet uses manymouse which was for Linux). You could try your luck and see if they work in wine/proton as backwards as that sounds, just use the OpenGL/Vulkan renderers and hope for the best.
