It's not his fault though. It's due to all the techno-optimist propaganda spouted out by various media channels by the techbros and the people profiting off of fossil fuels.
My friend usess this argument all the time and it's so annoying... Why should the wealthy suffer for destroying the environment when you also drive a car....
Agreed. I hate the whole generational divide that keeps being pushed by media outlets. There are so many overlapping generations occurring concurrently, that it is essentially a completely meaningless title.
Yup, each batch needs to be stored in controlled conditions for the entire length of the expiration period. Many times the product expiration period is much longer, but controlled storage isn't cheap, so just companies just do the minimum required by them.
It also further enforces individualism, which ends up isolating people in their own tiny bubbles of ignorance.
Bubbles that allow you to anonymously honk and scream at other drivers for "being idiots" and because they took more than 1sec to go after the light turns green.
I mean, if we consider that some long-range middle engagements are launched from thousand of miles away, surely 100mi can be considered 'close range' by comparison?
How long does it even take a jet to travel 100mi when going Mach 2 or 3?
Don't forget parking lots! The suburban strip mall is dependent on them. And since they take up valuable real estate that isn't providing any tax revenue, it gets subsidized by taxes from neighboring high-density urban areas.
Tbf, most automobile companies are heavily subsidized through the fossil fuel infrastructure that is required for them to exist and be of any use. That includes, but is not limited to:
WW2 taught the USA that war can lift you out of an economic depression and stimulate your economy. They have since embraced that fact, and are now parading to celebrate their money making machine, not the victory itself.
Who isn't drunk at parade though?
