Finally, humanity has come back from the woman wrestling a ball from a little girl
A lot of women I know who aren’t the typical “gamer” type really enjoy Stardew Valley. It’s a little farming game where you live in a town, foster relationships with the townspeople, and generally go about small town life. Very cute game, especially fun with friends.
Also Minecraft, it’s very open ended and there are many ways to play it.
As for how to start, an affordable laptop will run both of these fairly well, if you want Nintendo games you’ll probably have to get a Nintendo Switch.
Definitely make a Steam account though, you’ll find pretty much all the games you could want in one place there (Minecraft is separate).
Holy koolaid Batman

At the top of the cliff, you can barely see a larger castle called Schloss Tirol, they’ll both show up on Google maps if you search for it. It’s one of, if not the most beautiful places I’ve been and I keep going back

Here’s a photo of the cliffs across the small valley if you’re curious!

kokopelli@lemmy.worldto Superbowl@lemmy.world•CLOSED - Owl of the Year: Qualifying Round 14·8 months agoMy vote is for this guy. I visited a place in the Alps where these guys lived in the cliffs and some local family friends said to never leave your baby under 2 months unattended because the “Uhus” can still carry them at that age.

I think the general absurdity of it, plus you’re never quite sure where they’re gonna go.
For example:
It’s part of the appeal

The left half of your field of vision in your left eye goes to your right brain. Same with the right half of your left eye, and your right eye is split up similarly. How nuts is that?
