They didn't just waste everyone's time. They got Thune to agree to a special vote on ACA in December before the credits expire.
This actually puts the Republicans in the dems' pockets. Now, Republicans can either say, flat out, that they don't want Americans to have Healthcare. Or they can agree to whatever bill or CR the Democrats put forth since they won't be able to hide behind a shutdown or additional measures on an omnibus bill.
Black Friday needs to go back to being just a one day thing. Now it's Black Friday month with "early black Friday sales" and it's harder and harder to determine if a) the sales are actually sales, and b) I should wait until actual black Friday in hope of a steeper discount
